I was going to say the same thing. That line is the real tearjerker for me. It's just the way he says it - like he didn't even give it much thought, it was just what he needed to do.
I know and I´m sorry. But RU-vid seems to hate certain scenes of this show. Especially in Finale episodes they get super restrictive with what I can leave in the reaction. That means I sometimes have to cut out certain scenes even if they are important, otherwise I wouldn´t be able to upload the reaction at all. That´s why I have a Patreon where people can watch the uncut reaction and every single scene. RU-vid just isn´t as cooperative sometimes :/

About the bird thing: The Doctor was talking about that during the scene, it wasn't a reminder of the raven but rather that story from the Brothers Grimm. In that story, the bird does basically the same thing that the Doctor does, punching away that wall. Watch that scene again. It's a story about time. And the Doctor wrote that word down in order to remind him to keep going. Following the story's/bird's example!
Don´t worry, I do always watch every episode twice. When I edit it, and again in German because we´re watching the whole thing together , after I have reacted to it. :) It´s normal, that I don´t understand every clue, when I´m reacting to it for the first time. But for that reason I´m reading comments, and rewatch episodes, so I don´t miss anything going further :)
I think the word 'bird' meant eternity. "High in the North in a land called Svithjod there is a mountain. It is a hundred miles long and a hundred miles high and once every thousand years a little bird comes to this mountain to sharpen its beak. When the mountain has thus been worn away a single day of eternity will have passed." The story is a way to express just how long an eternity truly is. By writing 'bird' on the sand, he was hinting at his future (or previous?) self what was going on. Theres probably a deeper meaning but that was what I understood when I first watched the episode. Also, I love love love the song the doctor plays with his guitar in this episode. I always end up crying a bit whenever I listen to it.
Did you catch the fact the hybrid destined to stand in the ruins of gallifrey is "me" from the last episode, and "me"(ashildr) standing on the embers of gallifrey at the end of the universe in this episode?

Danke! 😅 Habe sogar eine Mitgliedschaft abgeschlossen, weil ich gehofft hatte, die Reaction vielleicht dann noch sehen zu können, Glückwunsch, Du bist die Erste! 🤝 Aber so is RU-vid Cooyright nun mal. Ich kann es zum Teil sogar verstehen, wenn der Teil am Ende mit der Musik das einzige war, was Du ändern musstest. Die läuft ja ZIEMLICH lange während der Szene und dass ohne Dialog, is also technisch nicht ganz transformativ. Aber ich bin sicher, RU-vid hat noch wegen nem Dutzend anderer Sachen gemeckert, ne? Naja, was ich über die Folge denke hab ich ja bereits gesagt. Meine 2. Lieblingsfolge ever. War sie aber auch nicht auf Anhieb. Ich fand Heaven Sent erst VIIIIEL besser, aber mit der Zeit hat sich das gedreht. Meine ALLERliebste Folge kommt übrigens auch sehr bald, da war die Geschichte genau so. Ich habe die sogar GEHASST, als ich die das erste mal sah. 😅 Ich dachte mir "Das ist doch nicht mein übliches Doctor Who"... Aber vielleicht hast du die Folge ja sogar schon selbst gesehen. Ich kommentiere mehr, wenn die Reaction draußen ist. 👍

Ich mach es jetzt einfach mal :) Danke, dass du den Kanal unterstützt, das hilft mir sehr bei meiner Arbeit :) Dass RU-vid die Reaction runtergenommen hat, hat mich auch geärgert, damit bist du nicht alleine. Ich verstehe nicht, wieso diese zuerst zugelassen werden und dann doch geblockt werden ein paar Tage später. :/ Und ja Szenen mit Musik mag RU-vid gar nicht. Da muss ich immer viel rausschneiden. Und Dr. Who hat sehr viel Musik, was es grade in Finalfolgen und Weihnachtsfolgen extrem schwierig macht sie zu editieren. :/ Ich finde es toll, dass meine Reactions dir Spaß machen :)

The interior is Ed's Easy Diner in Cardiff. Repeat of the Orient Express music in the diner is nice. IMHO should've asked Pierce Brosnan (also James Bond actor) to replace Dalton. "Exterminate... me" Alien trilogy tribute. "Sad & beautiful" 🥲
