Cottagecore Bedroom Update! DIY Vintage Teacup Wall Using Ikea Mosslanda 

Write a little girls book 'Every Teapot Has A Tale'. Of a little girls memories of adventures with her Granny. I still remember drinking tea with mine & our conversations & the Love we both felt. She said I was solo much like her IRISH Grandmother & made her think of her. I was small then, but 66 yrs. now & I still miss her so. I feel like this is what is wrong in 2020. The Grandmother's & Mother's want to be modern, tattooed & hip...instead of examples & ladies. Thank You for your U-tube Channel. It came out beautiful, I love it! All the girls in my bridal party went to antique stores and all picked out a tea cup and saucer and give them to me at my shower. Every time they come over and we have tea they use the set they picked out for me. Thank for sharing and always inspiring.

I love your style! It has always been in my visual heart as well. I have some beautiful tea cups and saucers from my mom and grandma...I'm 62 now, so you'll get an idea of how old they are. I think that some would say that collecting them is 'materislistic' , unnecessary...like some of the more minimalist movement folks...but I realized that my grandmother and mother who lived through world wars and the great depression of the 1920's, were not being 'materialistic', but rather seeing the item, in this case teacups, as a power symbol for dignity and the hope for better days ahead. They didn't worship the few things they had...the tea cups were pointers TO a life that still had an appreciation for beauty and dignity 'in the midst' of extreme hardship. I am honored to have them and need get them out of the drawer and put them up on a shelf as you did. They represent the beauty of art, hope, joy and dignity of life. Bless you.

“Every tea pot has a tale.” What a cute quote! When you said you’re painting the door I thought, “Noooo, it’s perfect the way it is.” Then you painted it and yes, it’s brilliant in that color. I’ll assume the little door stop will be kept so the door doesn’t hit the wall and possibly knock over any of your trinkets? Lovely video.

I love cottage style. I have only two rooms and bath and kitchen in 1930s house. They are large rooms each with a fireplace non working and mantle. Back to back fireplaces in the day. They are called shotgun houses in US south. I had moved out of the country when retired and sold most of my big collection of china. I kept some in my son's basement and have been slowly collecting again. About 5 years. I have a pink corner in my house and a blue and white one and one for my lovely fabulous Staffordshire dogs and top of my dresser for my antique small perfume bottles. In the other room I have my Paris fleamarket things. Old barware, Napoleon and Josephine trinkets, Eiffel Towers collected over 20 years. Never would sell those or my dogs. My favorite thing is a round leather frame with a sepia young Napoleon inside. It has been everywhere with me. I was able to get a gorgeous 1925 pink camelback wing chair in very good condition for $75 at a local MDs estate auction. I don't have much space but adding shelves, buying a big hutch cheap and refurbishing and having the mantles gives me display space. Separating my different collections into their separate spaces looks put together and I can enjoy them all in the same room. I love how people come in at times and can 't quit looking. They will stand at the door and look again before going out. I have roosters and old french enamelware in the kitchen too. I do not get tired of it. My health is not good enough to travel much anymore so I take memory trips with all my stuff. I can tell you where everyone came from like you. I love your pink china and really pink everything. My husband hangs in the Napoleon French mostly beige and black room but he loves the dogs and the flow blue. I do not think I have anything from my Ireland trips. Was going around everywhere and did not stop to shop much. That will bother me now!

I absolutely love the colour and the nook.......I’m not a collector as I have only a few pieces, but I love china and glassware. Not really a modern furniture person either, love the solid wood and the older decorative items, either natural or up cycled xx

I live north of Dallas Texas and I find the exact same decorations in almost every house I walk in. This is wonderful because it is YOU!! Love it.

I feel like your look is a play on not-shabby chic. Which is vintage. I would just say vintage style. My sis has done that for 50 years! It is an appreciation for vintage "esthetic" :D It looks so cozy and happy when done right and you always do it right with a fresh, updated feel. Enjoyed it!

So lovely that tea cup wall. My mother was a school teacher and tea cups were very popular as gifts years ago at Christmas. Over the years I distributed the collection to family members, this wall now makes me wish I had saved more. 🌸

Love this! Next time, since you are so talented, I would have routed a slim trench like in china cabinets to hold the plates. That cuts the cost of the stands, and I have found that the sometimes fall. Also, you can buy a door stopper that goes in the top hinge of the door. It is adjustable to set how.far you want open the door, and it will keep the door from bumping the shelves (a guest might open the door too fast or too wide) I really want to do this! You are amazing!

One point of encouragement for you; you say you are not good at maths and that you did a 'rough' calculation but in fact your planning, preparation and calculations are detailed and very accurate down to your lining your paint tray with tin foil! I encourage you to own your sheer brilliance. :D

Pink is my absolute favourite colour😍and that just looks AMAZING 🙌 it's funny with this cottage core thing going around. I've been living, or trying to live, as simple a life as possible and moved out to the country 7 years ago. 3 yrs ago I managed to purchase acreage, as I rescue animals, and am growing food as much as I can. The goal is to live off grid eventually on a bigger property. I have always preferred old style appliances and have always bought second hand. I'm hoping with this new "trend" people will appreciate a more peaceful and back to basics life xx
