Thank you very much, that is praise indeed from you guys! We are HUGE fans of your channel. Appreciate you taking the time to comment, it means a lot. It’s such an incredible place to ride with new trails appearing all the time! Have you been recently?
@@MindfulTrailBiker ah thank you glad you enjoy the vids! We haven’t been for ages - well I was there bikepacking a few months ago but just took in some easier trails. Definitely need a trip up as haven’t ridden any of the new stuff and looks so good!
The new stuff is so good! I’m sure the trail builder would be happy to give you a tour, give us a shout if you’re planning a visit and I’ll put you in touch with him! 👍
I genuinely think they are some of the best tracks in the UK, in beautiful surroundings with a supportive and friendly community of riders! It was a pleasure and one of the best days I’ve had on a bike! 🙏
@@streetpigeonmtb thanks buddy! That’s very kind of you to say and in no small way thanks to the exposure and the great advice you so kindly offered when we hung out! Big respect 🫡
Great watch , some good advice given on the day with regards to ,just say no and also realising when your energy levels are on the decline. Brilliant content 🤟
Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting! I’m super happy with what I can and can’t ride and actually like the fact that some trails or features are outside my current confidence/ability level. The feature on schwing I have rode before but having got bucked by a rock when I set off in that trail I just like I was prone to mistakes from low energy. I’d been paintballing with the family the day before and had severe muscle ache from being a bit too “Rambo” 😂😂
@@MindfulTrailBiker heading up to Cairngorms in a few weeks, going to do a bit of bike packing and might hit Tarland, this place will be a bit too gnarly for my partner. So will have to save it for another trip. I have heard of Heart Break Ridge, but don’t know where it is or anything about it.
@@alevans1168 If you have a look at my Aberdeenshire playlist I have edits for both tarland and Heartbreak ridge on there. Both are epic and all are within 40 mins of Aboyne. Enjoy!
@peterhaworth6859 hell yeah, that’s exactly what I was trying to achieve! There’s absolutely tons of stuff very close by so it is worth the trip for sure!
Yeah definitely get up there, it’s amazing!! Pardon the obvious advice but try a red or 2 out first then push into the blacks. They are aptly graded on Trailforks. Allowing for wet conditions to turn up the spice level a couple of notches! 👍
Thank you very much Darren! Very kind of you to say and to show your support by commenting! In a real journey with the channel right now and getting comments like this really drives it forward! 🙌
@@MindfulTrailBiker Thanks for the vote of confidence 👍 A guy at the top of Natural Gold black trail at Comrie Croft said I had "no business" going down there because I asked if he knew if the signposted 'gap jump 60m that way' was mandatory! So glad I ignored him, went around the gap jump (maybe next time), loved the trail 😁 Trusted in my feeling from @streetpigeonmtb and @mctrailrider videos that it was a trail I could give a good attempt. All you quality YTers helping the MTB community rock 😉
@anneslambert3369 that guy had no business passing judgement. I would probably have asked the same question and gone round it also, doesn’t mean I can’t ride the trail. You smashed all those tech rivvy descents! Me and Lindsey were hugely impressed with your riding! Keep it up!👍
Thank you mate 🙏 it’s enduro heaven and makes a great weekend with either tarland or heartbreak ridge or even scolty trails if you just want pure enduro
You can’t tell from the walk through but there was no stopping once you’re in and it’s drop to Lilly pad to drop with no braking zones to speak of. You’d have to be on top of your game to piece it all together. Too much for me
15:30 looks like nothing on GoPro; in reality that’s Orange trail Cauda, and it steep as all Hell. Great trails, we were there at the same time that Sunday, just missed you. Great day for it.
@@MindfulTrailBiker We had a grand time on Chutney/Relish, then messed around on the steeps. We also went to the new Banchory Woodland Trails - short but very sweet.
@@DrFaroon Chutney and relish are great fun, we didnt get to try the new tracks at Banchory, hopefully next time. sounds like you had a belter of a day! 👌
@@MTB_Trekker it really is, it’s myn3rd visit and it gets better every time I ride it. The local builder is very passionate and keeps creating masterpiece trails! Its epic! 👍
