I worked in the Albuquerque, and Belen railyards in the late 1997-2002 time...I am a female and was one of the first of six female's to be hired as a Mainline freight conductor and yard foreman...My first assignment was in the Albuquerque yard....Altho I know nothing about these cases, I can say that when we jerk those trains into motion, from a stand still position, I have personally seen train car doors slide open and closed on their own. Sometimes so hard, we trainmen could not get them open...and sometimes train cars are set out in desolate areas on ghost tracks for months and years for whatever reasons, like if they have a defect, or they are delivered to a mine or a business and just never used...I also started out as Railroad security officer in Clovis, New Mexico. I couldn't tell u how many times at night that some scary looking individual would come jumping out of those box cars. We also had cars coming into and out of Mexico...I worked the El Paso, Tx yard when I was in training and that was the scariest yard I ever worked at night.. Albuquerque was the 2nd worst.. I got chased by a man with one leg once as he exposed himself to me, thank god my train crew came and picked me up. So, other than not seeing the boys bycycles, don't ever count out the train car therory...u just never know, I saw some real crazy stuff in my years working out there.
In the blink of an eye! I experienced a kidnapping attempt when I was 5yo. I was playing in my fenced front yard with my younger cousins and brother. There were 5 of us and a man pulled up and told us he was our grandpa and our parents had called him to take us to the store to buy toys and candy. This was in Grants, NM in the summer of '74. (About 70 miles west of Albuquerque) Thank Goodness none of us went with him, and that he did not get out of his truck. We thought we were going to get in trouble for not going with him and didn't tell anyone. I shudder to think he probably went after others.
Love this channel! Also so sad and scary to see all these locations ive passed thousands of times connected to such pain. Hug and love your children a lil more these days.

My little brother Derrick Tenorio was physically assaulted, found later by me and taken home. He walked out that evening and was never seen again. They say he was taken somewhere , chopped, and burned. No one where we live is admitting their families involvement and now the ones who were named in the case are dying from drugs and suicide. If you can could he be mentioned at the end of a video, maybe? He can he Googled and thank you for you're channel. It gives me hope that someone is searching for answers for families
You really covered all angles on this missing persons mystery. Very good. Have you ever thought of trying to contact one of those "mediums" that have worked with the police? Most people don't believe in their gifts but some of them have solved cold files.
My then best friend was almost kidnapped when he was a little boy. It happend in the early eighties. We, his and my families were visiting a festival in a near city. He went to the public toilets. (Permanent Toilets since there were often fairs and festivals). A Man told my friend to come with him he would buy him some candy. My friend answerd he didn't like candy. The guy told him they would go to the toyshop. My friend could choose what he liked there. But it was Sunday evening and stores were all closed. My friend told the man who were very close no he would come but really had to pee first. Then he locked himself in the stall and refused to come out till his dad eventually came looking for him.
The Post office had grass in front there was no parking lot at that time. I was raised in Martinez Town and remember the disappearance of these 2 children. September 22,1979 fell on a Saturday so there would not have been Lots of traffic. From what I remember it was said that the kids were playing on the grass in front of the Post office that’s where the bikes were found.
It must be So strange to live their. To always wonder what really happened and will it happen again. Kinda like always looking over your shoulder. Things were so different in towns those days! Yet I don’t see how two kids could just disappear an no one noticed anything.
Amazing work Crystal but one thing you guys dont theorize about is that the person that took them took both of them cause they recogtnized him so "he" didnt want to leave a witness ! please update us if anything changes !
That is a great point. We did consider that, but we also considered that it would be difficult for a stranger abduction of two kids on bicycles. The APD Detective who was on the case in 2011, made a very good attempt to show that it must have been someone they knew. Which could explain that is how they were able to get two kids into their vehicle, if that is what happened, because the children felt safe with them or...they felt if they didn't go they would get in trouble. Thank you for watching...I will be posting bonus material soon. We are getting a lot of follow up questions that we are eager to answer.
@@crystalgutierreztv After watching both parts several times. I do agree that it had to have been someone they knew. For a complete stranger to be able to control two kids even without bikes wouldn't have been able to do it. I believe there are probably had to be two suspects involved, even if it was someone they knew they couldn't control them by themselves. I also feel that they may not have been on their bikes? Love your new series! I have a background in audio engineering if you need any help with audio editing I'd love to help!
The most likely theory is abduction. But it would be hard to kidnap one kid let alone two , especially As Billy was 12, in the middle of the street. I think they were picked up on a side road while walking by someone they knew. I think they were told they were going to the fair and got in a vehicle. But then why would they abandon their bikes if they went willingly? Maybe more than one person was involved. In 1979 it would have been sparsely populated so nobody would have seen anything Another theory is that they went exploring and got lost
Why would their bikes still be there after 30 plus years they aren’t going to leave them there also these days they would most likely be stolen if anything
