Flying around the abandoned Crab Island Fish Factory in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. For more info check out this article on the Tuckerton Historical Society by Lori Edmunds www.tuckertonhistoricalsociety...
Great footage! I plan to take a boat out to Crab Island and check the place out sometime. It seems like trying to land that drone is like landing a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier.
It's a cool place. The flies are extremely bad there. You pretty much need a bee suit in the summer. Landing in the back was a bit tight. Especially since that's a $1,600 drone.
Great video! I've never seen anything quite that close up. I guess it's a safe assumption that the buildings didn't fare to well after Hurricane Irene. The last time I was down that way was in 2003 when you could still drive down Great Bay Blvd. and cross over those sketchy wooden bridges. I remember at the time that the largest building was still standing. The water tower is still up, really rusted but still standing. Very cool to see it up that close. Thanks for posting it!
You can still drive down to the end of Great Bay and over the wooden bridges. There’s a Rutgers Marine Station down at the end and lots of crabbing and fishing and boat launching.
Bravo sir!!! Excellent flying. Down the pipes was pretty cool. What a neat place and what a fun adventure. Keep em coming! That thing is so damn stable, and it looks like a 3 axis gimbal, right? Super smooth footy.
great shots, always love seeing neat drone footage. Maybe the next video you put up can have some simple music put in there instead of having to mute the video because of noisy propellers. great work though, i plan on buying a mavic pro drone around christmas time.
Thanks! Mavic looks awesome. I could've edited it shorter. Most people don't like videos longer than about 4 minutes. I decided to post the entire thing raw though because the location is so cool. The problem with music is whenever I use something I like it's always copy write protected. I feel like that ruined RU-vid.
Very cool. We sail by here all the time. A very interesting and fresh view. Can you tell me a little about your drone and cameria equipment. This would be great for filming fisherman on big charter trips.
I've been hearing good things about the maverick, and that's a lot of aircraft! I've been flying for quite sometime now been taking lessons on a Cessna 172
Paul, We have been admiring you boat, as well as the vid. A bit of good natured debate on what make and year the boat is. Please clear up the mystery. Make model and year of you boat please?
