In this video we repair a crazy big hail dents on the roof of a citroen. We did a push to paint repair using a PDR technique. Hail damage repair was done on the whole car but video is about push to paint.

Nice to see that not all damage is classed and sometimes our other methods which need paint are still exceptional repairs and highly skilled…I’m loving the chapter breaks too between you starting a different process. What is power PDR BOX ?

Is a machine to shrink dents. Meaning when there is too much metal and the dent starts jumping up and down, you can use this machine to stop the dent from doing that. I have a video on Power PDR box you can check out!

I don't understand why are you saying talk to your painter are you going to paint it after you pushed the dents out? And if that's the case why even waste hours pushing the dents out?

This was a push to paint. Push to paint is used so the use of bondo is minimised. Even if the paint is cracked or the damage is so severe it cant be saved without paint, we can still make a push to paint and make the panel flat

why PTP?

Usually too deep, too stretched, panel is really 'out of shape' the dents are that radical. I love finishing by PDR wherever possible, but there's a limit to spending too much time on bad hail damage, before it's better to paint . . . and get a perfect job. PTP is usually then machine sanded, puts a little heat into panel, helps reshape, and you use existing paint to 'block' panel flat. I've done really bad PTP hail and only needed a few teaspoons of fine filler in the whole job, then hibuild prime, dry block / machine fine out, paint. I'm a panel beater / painter too, so do start to finish on whatever comes my way :)

@@lesskinner8588 but see, that is the thing.... I specialize in reparing hail and do a shit load of them right through the year and ptp on a car like this will cost the company contracts.... Plus i have seen worse been repaired paintless... Dome ext aswell... Just check out my guy at elevatoin dent right here on YT... You'll witness something special😉

I guess for someone who just simply likes to watch someone do their job it's a good video but it doesn't teach or give any kind of tips or tricks in PDR as the title suggests. Waste of data watching it

Sorry but I don't know where in the title you see a suggestion of tips and tricks or training? I have videos like that and I have videos that just show the job being done. This one is the latter
