You should have a billion subscribers. Because you are the fastest drummer on the planet. I use to think Thomas Lang was. But I’m rethinking that now. You are awesome Ricardo. You have already improved my drumming skill from your videos
Thank you so much for the lesson, I've been witing for this kind if explaination, it is awesome. Finally I broke my "stuck on" bpm, just a few minutes later after i watch it!
Riccardo, thank you for this absolutely great lesson on your technique. Your explanations are on point and absolute clear and useful for any technically advanced drummer, that is interested in learning to play like this. I wish you all the best and that you can reach a wider audience for all the hard work you put in! All the best and greetings from Germany! Jochen
Thank you for the breakdown! I know what you mean about the balanced tension in your elbow and forearm. You're putting yourself just on the brink of muscle failure (not actual failure but engaged and not moving) and then developing that vibration as an actual technique. I've felt that vibrating tension although when I did it was unintentional. You created a whole technique out of it and it's amazing. Much respect to you.
I love this guy why he’s not one of the biggest drum stars on the planet I’ll never know, but there’s still time and he deserves it. He deserves to be more widely known on an international scale in my never to be so humble opinion.
Hi Riccardo luv your stuff , you should add this lesson on your Udemy course bro , it would clarify the whole principle of the complete arm technique 🤔
Thank you so much for sharing your turned hand discovery. On my djembe the speed was quite noticeable. Riccardo your playing and technique shows how astounding the human body is. Your relaxed nano movements truly show you have unlocked another dimension in drumming. Another drummer who takes polyrhythms into another dimension is this fellow. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-69md7aLuo2I.html. Only a master of your skill can truly appreciate what he creates. Enjoy
In Level 1 (faster strokes) it is very similar to the mangini technique maybe Merlini is 3-5% fast, and more coordination with 2 hands .. Level 2 (super fast "random" vibration) Mangini has more control 2 hands and more speed. Mangini use level 2 to world record 1203 strokes 60s.. Level 3?. Merlini buy a pad WFD and count your stroke plis in Level 1 and 2..
Ciao ho visto un video dove parlavi di intervento di cisti alle mani.hai trovato miglioramenti dopo l intervento?io devo fare anche i tunnel carpali🙆♂️
I think you are fantastic and this is just an observation. While you have greatly increased the workload that both your hands can accomplish, your drumming can easily be played by a normal 2 handed style. I admire the skills you have honed but they are mostly parlor tricks to sell clinic tickets and break records(maybe that is all you want to do). You should literally be playing two independent snare or hi-hat parts that can't be achieved normally.
My English may be a little bad. I'm just wondering this and I don't know if anyone else thinks like me. He uses both hands separately. However, there is no exercise in the form of a single stroke that combines both hands. That is, he develops the hands separately on his own, but does he automatically reach that speed as soon as he combines the two? So I didn't see Merlini working single stroke normally (using both hands separately) How does he reach this speed when he works with one hand and combines the two after a level? Can someone enlighten me on this? I also think about this: I've been working with one hand for a long time. And when I accelerate and put both hands together I get a quick single stroke. I think after a certain speed, there is a fast double-handed single stroke rate unintentionally.
