4:23 Jon over here talking to his demented stars of death laden grandfather, & trying to keep him lucid and alert with a story long enough to remember his name, let alone run a show, is absolutely inspiring. Such a good grandson… Joeys gaping maw just wide open as he thinks about how to describe colors to a blind man; Fully R-worded
I bet the guy saying "the punisher fuck yeah ima watch this tonight" then realize in a middle of an episode "holy shit this is the MF who beat the shit out if me"
To all youngsters out there: This guy was in his early 30's (?) and still couldn't figure out how to find peace mentally. So don't give up. Stop thinking your life is over when you're like 18/20. Edit: I'm having a tough time myself right now.. But knowing that it'll pass someday. Keep improving and never give up guys😊 Edit 2: Jesus, thanks for all the likes guys! My first edit was like a year ago. I worked on myself, tried to eleminate bad habits and I can honestly say I'm better now. Also, read the book: Atomic Habbits by James clear. It helped me out tremendously!!!!!! Never give up, you survived till today. Keep going.
For real 30 is 1/3 of your life So are we really saying we’re spending 2/3 of our life being considered “old”? Nah. Keep pushing. It’ll happen when it happens.
@David Fernandez I really enjoyed the first season, but I've been struggling to continue the second. I think they wrapped it up too nicely and the continued story feels a little forced. I'm just not feeling it. All that aside, yes, he was definitely born for the role.
As someone going through his own attempt at change, this speaks to me. Hes absolutely right it feels empty after. But when he said its cowardly to go back, that hit me. Hes 100% right.
I somehow don’t trust the story. So he was drunk and high walking his dog while having a party. It sounds like an empathy call so people don’t judge him
This dude has played a role as the Punisher,a Mexican gangster,Italian gangster,a Ariyan Brotherhood gangster, and not too shabby in the walking dead!! Much respect!!
They shot the walking dead a few minutes from my home town and I ran into this dude at my gym right after season 1 and I had no idea who he was. He said he was shooting a show about zombies lol so I didn’t think anything of it. He let me borrow some boxing gloves and trained with me for a month before he left. Really humble and cool guy.
I met Chandler Riggs (Carl) at my church camp and he kept telling everyone he was in this zombie show. He talked to my best friend and I all night about it and we thought he was about crazy. Sure enough about 9 months later I saw the opening credits and could not believe my eyes.
you all soy boys blame normal levels of testosterone because you have a lack of it...I mean, this idiot bloody beat someone up for futile reasons, and then try to share his fault with people that have nothing to do with what he did.
I mean, I disagree that you shouldn't go out of your way to protect people, if you see someone in trouble, you should help them. But I understand where is coming from, sometimes you need to be loud to make sure you heard or to help move things forward. But the loudest in the room are generally compensating for something, you see this in politics or just normal conversation, and especially so when this a minority or fringe opinion. Unfortunately people don't always listen, even if you are saying something worth listening to.
Agent Dick Womble What? People tend to player characters they can imitate well... Growing up fighting constantly will give you the background to imitate the rolls this guy has played...
@@NearlyLegalGaming Its 'roles' not 'rolls' and I will say it again HE IS AN ACTOR!! An actor is someone that pretends to be someone else for a living. I dont doubt that he has been in a fight, that does not surprise me but people thinking he is "..like the punisher in real life.." is f**king ridiculous! Are you an actor? Have you ever been in street fights?

This man Jon is telling this crazy ass story and Joey’s got his mouth gaping open, looking like a dormant volcano but he’s actually making balloon animals in his head
What an amazing redemption story. It truly could have gone two ways for him. Him being locked up for life, or, becoming one of the most successful actors. What a guy.

Crazy noticing someone telling a story with so much energy/passion. That’s when you know everything coming out of this man’s mouth is the raw truth of his past. Thank you for sharing brother.
After I saw him in Walking Dead, I had a feeling he would blow up since he was amazing in that role and was pretty much a badass. Him in Punisher is probably one of the best casting choices I seen for a Marvel project.
@@humann5682 Yeah honestly I would end up binging the whole season in less than a week because they were amazing. Even the actors still want to be part of the shows. I remember Vincent D'Onofrio and I think Deborah Ann Woll both tweeted the the link to the petition to keep the show going. Will be such a huge missed opportunity if they don't continue it.
I'm still extremely sad that Netflix had to cancel The Punisher because Marvel got bought and Netflix had to cancel all Marvel series. Jon Bernthal embodied the character soooo well!
@@acherontiaatropos1 i dont think so man disney+ is pretty pg friendly punisher is probably the most gory marvel show made, disney doesnt want punisher anymore i dont think
Quite an inspiring story. I'm a sound guy in the local union here in LA and I still find myself trying to avoid street fights here all the time. Especially with other drivers with drunken rage.
@@booperfect8894 I dont think so.. Its always different and random.. I haven't been in a street fight in a long time. I tend to keep it that way by avoiding them. I think about my life choices and future opportunities before trying to partake in such acts. Even if I could beat the crap out of them.
@@Alannaki4970 I feel that. I've calmed down my ego and think twice about fighting. Some times angry and sad people lash out unfortunately towards a enlightened peaceful people.

Uncle Joeys idea to license himself out as a beerpong recepticle is genius. He gets in a nap while you and your friends get in a game of beerpong. Sharktank here he comes.

You could tell on the “Punisher” he was really like that. They brought that monster back & IMO was the PERFECT character for him to play because like he said “ I WONT LET YOU FUCK W MY FAMILY MY FRIENDS OR MY DOGS” couldn’t have been that hard for him to get into that character.
Says the guy telling a rehearsed story about how bad he was/is he tells on every interview for 4 minutes without a pause. Bernthal tells this macho BS story word for word on every podcast.

I love how this man is just pouring his heart, soul, and life story. To the empty flesh vessel/vegetable of a man known as Joey Diaz. Truly something pure about this splinter in time 🙏🏻🤙🏼
How could it possibly be "Amazing"? You're enamored with meatheads who stepped in shit. You DO realize that most guys like Rogan and Diaz in real life, without the good fortune would literally be working at a Gas Station, don't you?
No wonder he's such a perfect actor for "The punisher", he actually has a bad temper in real life and he has gotten into so many trouble growing up, wow!
@@johnbroski8066 Did you read my comment at all? I am not judging him or insulting him, I am just saying what he USE to do before, and how he's a perfect actor for the PUNISHER...... You need to READ & UNDERSTAND a comment before you write anything
I'm 27 and I have "friends" about my age that still have this dude bro mentality where they think that life is all about partying and acting macho in front of others to look badass. Me myself, I was over it as soon as graduated from highschool, and when I look back to my old self I cringe, because I was just a insecure kid trying to impress a bunch of other losers like myself. He is also spot on when he said that the biggest gift in the world is peace, theres no better feeling than a clear conscience.
Yeah I was the same then too. I would just snap at people when they annoyed or bothered me and wouldn't give a shit if I did it in front of a crowd or in the classroom. One point I did it to someone who didn't deserve it since I was mad about something else that day and he ended up looking at me funny and I got upset and let it out on him. I was pretty much fucked then since some teacher took us the the principal's office and I was pretty much ready to just accept what my life was going to end up being but it ended up going another direction where I got another chance. I did end up apologizing to the guy and told myself I wouldn't be that crazy fuckhead who thought he had to be angry all the time just to survive or prove I was some guy who wouldn't take anyone's shit. I am pretty much happy with myself now and been at peace with mostly everything. I accomplished a few things but will accomplish more since my life is just beginning.
popo129 I feel you. Teenagers today just look for the craziest shit to do in order to impress the friends. Thinking it’ll earn them respect. Then after school, their life’s in shambles and their forced into this period of change. I was nearly one of them teenagers until I found that the world doesn’t care about you, or what you do. It cares about how you affect the people around you. So when you’re doing shit like what Jon described, it’s just time wasted on hopeless respect, you know?
@@barackobama990 Yeah honestly I learned the best thing to have isn't just strength physique, it's strength in your mind. Pretty much started using my brain after I realized that and it's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. If you have any beef with someone, it's easy to trigger them to act and make a mistake as opposed to acting out of emotion and potentially both of you or just you getting in trouble. I noticed a lot of people at my school not only acted out in order to impress their friends, it was also because they didn't control themselves... They never thought "is this the right place and time" or "will this have consequences down the line"? I remember one guy at my school got into so much fights, he ended up getting beaten up eventually in our school by these teens from another school who showed up to find him in retaliation for one of his beefs with someone. Ended up getting expelled. All of us felt like it was an injustice but when you think about it, he was the reason these teens showed up. He never thought past beating up this person he hated and because of it, he never saw this outcome happening. Yeah my motto has always been, "just keep moving forward" because at the end of the day, the world will go on with or without you. If you keep focusing on your insecurities or the stuff that doesn't matter like earning the respect of the wrong person, everyone who knows to work on themselves and help others and everything around you will be so ahead of you, you will already be behind and have an even harder time trying to catch up.
I can’t agree with all of that more brother. In my mind when we reach this point mentally is when actually become a real grown man. I’ve been running a bar for years and I see this type shit in so many guys that I really do like and I always just think to myself I really hope this dude can get past this mentality. I as well have a few friends that just won’t grow past this. I had to distance myself from it. I would still jump in front of a train for any of them but I have three young kids and two are boys that I hope and pray grow into good men. Staying in this may mindset is the worst thing I could teach them. And it takes the biggest man to admit to this and needing to get past it. I tip my hat brother.
