New subscriber. Everybody should do speaker reviews as good as you do. Keep them coming! The M65 creamback sounded more musical to me in all frequencies.
These both sound good. Your speaker comparison videos are the best. Here they are, this is the gear I'm using, this is what they sound clean, dirty, and together. Keep up the good work! Problem is these comparisons are making to want to buy more speakers to try out!!!
Everyone thinks that H75 is better but it is no true. It is not about eq, it is about character. It is easy to add bass and high. Difficult is to remove that hardness in tone. Speaker must be fluid, especially at higher volume.
i would rather go to a pair of greenbacks than the 65. oddly, I would agree with you if we were talking about greenback vs g12h30, the 30s are too "hard".
It's a matter of taste . People have different preferences . Speakers are a very personnel coice. There is not so thing as an absolute in which speaker is better . Better lies in the ear of the player . How many people are using a piece of fear a speaker or a set of pickups that they do not like the sound of but stick with it because on paper it's supposed to be better . The bass knob works in both directions if you can add bass by turning up the bass knob you can reduce bass by turning it down . I dont get how it only works in one direction besides adjustments at the amp are not going to change the character of the speaker very much . I personally do not care about specs or graphs or eq curves. I care about the sound . If there truly was such a thing as a best speaker. The variety we have would not exist. Everyone hears things diffrent
H75 have better mids , more in your face , feels more open. Personally I don't like the m65 , it sounds like you put mid-scoop EQuing pedal in the fx loop of the amp. But there is no bad choice , it's a matter of taste. Thanks for the demo , awesome. I made my choice 👍
Hi there,I have got a Marshall dsl 40cr the back is half open on this amp, and i hate the v-type speaker that comes with it. There is a fizzy frequency i cant stand, tryied many things to get rid of it. I want a speaker change, do you recommend a G12m65 or a g12h75. Playing mostly Hardrock, punk really want good sounding powerchords, please help thx🙂
I have a jj jr combo that came loaded with the 65m. I think I lije the tone of the 75h a little more, but don't think I'll switch it out. Might get a 2x12 with v30 & 75h,leave the 65m alobe in the combo
The creambacks are more mid-focused with less bass than the greenbacks. The creambacks also tend to be smoother on the highs with less to none of the "ice-pickiness" the greenbacks can have at times. While the greenbacks are something of the quintessential rock sound, the creambacks will probably work quite well in a live setting with the more focused mids punching through the mix. Since I just play at home, the fuller sound of the greenbacks serves me better than the creambacks would.
