Just found this channel, I’m not a cook at all. I’m 19 years old and live with my mom and visit my dad a lot so that’s probably why 😂 I thought of making something different that my dad and siblings never had and “sweet pasta” came to mind as I was wondering if it was a thing and then this video came to my rescue. Were gonna see how good it tastes real soon

Mel I made his for my family last night and everybody raved about how good it was. Added some flax seeds to the recipe but that was the only modification. They want this in the rotation. Like weekly. Love your channel and the laughs. Keep it up!

I was highly happy about this dish. It was so so good. The creamy sweet potato sauce is everything. I used it as a salad dressing and a toping on other dishes. SOOOO delicious!!! Great even though I was too lazy to do the onions, did the tomatoes in microwave, and added the garlic raw. I added the cashews last. It tasted amazing even before the cashews were added. I will be making this often and using the sauce in other dishes. Can't wait to make it doing the onions, tomatoes and garlic as in the recipe. It was so fun to see the sweet potato quickly turn the mixture into a super creamy sauce! I will be adding sweet potatoes to my blender often! Thank you for sharing this!!!😀

Hi! I just came across your channel yesterday. I'm not vegan but I am trying to do 75%-80% plant-based. I found your creamy sweet potato pasta last night because I was looking for a recipe with sweet potatoes, and I made it for dinner today. I just have to say, that I absolutely love this recipe!! I love everything about it!! I also like that the base isn't tomatoes because I have acid reflux, so the sweet potato works great! All the ingredients work so well together and they are perfectly balanced. The sauce is so good, I think you can also serve it as a soup:) Thank you!! This is so far the best vegan sauce I have tried so far. I look forward to trying out some of your other recipes. Oh, I used shallots instead of onion and I actually blended the shallots with the other ingredients and it came out great!

Hi Mel! Love this video and I definitely will be making it. What kind of pasta 🍝 did you choose for this? I checked out your exact recipe from link but I didn’t see which one you used. Also, does it matter if you used almond or cashew milk? Curious if the taste of the purée would change. In your linked description it saids plant based. Which one did you use for this dish? Thank you Lolo!! I used fettuccine pasta for this dish! Any plant-based milk you have on hand would work (as long as it’s not vanilla flavored lol). I find that cashew milk is pretty creamy, oat too. I think I used almond for this recipe.

Thanks Barbara! Sorry about the nut allergy. Though I haven’t tried it with these modifications, you could technically sub coconut aminos with soy sauce, liquid aminos, or even miso paste. You can sub cashews for silken tofu, sunflower seeds, or tahini. Make sure to adjust flavor as necessary.

Hey, umm- at 02:53 thereabouts, milk was mentioned as the first ingredient. Did anybody else catch that? That "milk" looked awfully white, please specify what sort of milk that was used. Other than that, looks very tasty! Thanks again!

I tried it and loved the taste! Although it came out a bit clunky. Why is that? I followed exactly the instructions but your video showed your pasta sauce so silky

Ah not sure why it came out chunky! Perhaps sauce needed to be blended for longer…blender needed more power…sauce mix needed a bit more liquid…potato not thoroughly cooked… so many reasons! I’m not sure 🤔

I’m sorry love. I’ve not tried it this way, but you can always try to omit from recipe. Seeds are a good sub for nuts.

Plant-milk! Specifically almond milk, but any plant-milk (almond, cashew, oat, etc) would do!
