If you get a sharp edge o the strap after using the Subdivion, just select all the mesh with A on edit mode and press Shift+N, this should fix it. When researching i found out that this is a Normals problem. Hope it helps!

The Ctrl + Right click when creating the strap does not work properly like in the video. The faces are not rotating and the size of the extruded faces are messed up. Actually its doing the exact same thing as Shift + Ctrl + Right click and Idk why please help.

You should probably try using adaptive subdivision for the small detail displacements, should be a little easier on the computer
