You can use trapdoors instead of the mangrove roots if you can't find any

I uh misread the sign as 56K so I made a steam engine that produces 64K Su... only to come back and find out that it was 5656 Su

Here’s a list of everything you’ll need to make this farm (excluding tools like mixer, mechanical press, depot etc.). Things that didn’t match up perfectly were rounded up so you’ll definitely have enough. - Andesite: 478 - Logs: 120 - Kelp: 91 - Iron Ingots: 95 - Copper Ingots: 4 - Zinc Ingots: 4 - Redstone: 25 - Stone: 8 - Sand: 33 - Quartz: 3 - Wool: 1 - Mangrove Roots: 2

I don't know if anyone else ran into a problem where the rotation belts go in the opposite directions. If that happens to you, simply invert the rotation speed controller at the the end, so instead of 128, make it a negative -128, that should invert every conveyor belt.

for those wondering, after some math, it produces about 144 ingots per hour (1 ingot every ~25 seconds 60/25 ~2.4 per min, 2.4x60 = ~144 per hour) on my least efficient run it produced about 52 ingots per hour. (~52-144 ingots per hour)

Would love your take on a multi floor elevator. Shalz had a good one that didn’t limit the distance between floors, and using analog levers you could have up to 15. Unfortunately he only provided schematics.

(Edited: Found a lil problem but solved it so imma leave it here so anyone making this can know. Also makes it 2 brass funnels cheaper.) Build is sick but we seem to have the same problem. Only one of our mechanical presses is working because only one of the basins is actually receiving enough Iron nuggets. Just found out you can swap the brass funnels coming out of the vault for andesite ones as no flint will go by since you already have the flint brass ones clearing that out, so the output in Iron nuggets goes 1 by 1 in each conveyor belt. Thanks for the awesome build and I hope this helps anyone that tries to build this.

I appreciate your tutorials. You show us how to build instead of just showing it and then saying here's a schematic.

if you want to upscale this I highly recommend ditching the millstones and replacing them with a shute that goes into grinding wheels going at a highspeed, did this on my own iron farm design and it definitely felt better

I'm not sure what I did wrong but the brass funnels in the front are only letting nuggets out through one of the funnels

Thanks for the video. I'm quite taken with the extreme symmetry of design. My only quibble is what you said in the end, as I have not found it difficult to construct a farm the size of yours which can turn out 700+ ingots/hr. I recently started a survival on the modpack "create flavored" and i had no idea how to make an iron farm, I thought about making a vanilla one but since I'm playing on create I want to make a create one and this tutorial is really helpful, thank you so much. Great video!

Hey this is a bit late but I did want to mention probably the most important early game builds for create are this, an ore crusher, and perhaps a simple lava farm once the iron farm produces enough iron for cauldrons

Since this guy won’t reply to people asking how to set negative numbers with the speed controller I will. The game has been updated since than and now when you open up the menu for the controller there is a top and bottom row. Set one controller on the top number as a 1 and set the other one to 1 as well but have them on opposite “rows”. I spent way to long trying to figure out the negative number thing only to realize negative numbers no longer exist in 1.20.1 at least.

My belts are going kn the wrong way? Do u know why?

its only workming on the left side and i did everything right idk why its not working on the right side

What am I doing wrong? Everything works and turns the same way. The presses won't work. THe basin fills with 16 nuggets and stops working. Even turned the speed up but won't help. The basins always fill to 16 nuggets. Maybe too much to make ingots? Even tried a brass funnel with an iron block as a filter in the hope it would do that, but nothing. So now I got a nugget farm and need Thermal or Mekanism to turn them into ingots. Anyone got the same problem or a solution?

To fix the issue on flint and iron nuggets not getting on the brass funnel, just add a list filter and set the gravel to deny, set it on the brass funnel instead of gravel, and now the flint and iron nuggets can now go through. I only notice the problem when i backtrack on the video and notice that i put the gravel on the brass funnel instead of the filter. Now i finally have a working iron farm...

How do you get the speed controller to -1. I’m playing on survival and I’ve been doing everything I can find online to do it but nothing works. I’ll hold it and move it but it only allows me to go as low as 1. Can anyone help me out here? Also how to you use the mouse wheel on it bc it doesn’t show up for me?

nice design but is it just me or only one of the compressor is working to make the ingot ? (to be more specific, the right side only functions, left side is sleeping.) How do i fix that?

using this in a 1.18.2 modpack where there aren't any waterlogged leaves or roots. I was able to use a trap door, the only thing is it will also put water on the block where the brass funnel is which doesnt seem to be a problem.

As someone who has a the mod in there shared world, this will be insanely useful as gathering villagers n zombies are far too difficult for us to do, that and we installed horror mods (most of the group is composed of cowards, I am one of them)

I made the exact samen machine but there is not 1 iron nugget coming out, does someone know what can be wrong. Playing on 1.20.1. Edit: Gravel is coming out, but not 1 iron nugget is created.

If your belts got inverted you can put -128 instead of 128 on the Rotation speed controller

Couldn't get this to work as the fans wouldn't wash the gravel to produce iron nuggets. So great gravel farm 👍

so i got problem with that the left side from barrel isn´t working like everything is spinning but no nugets go thru

This is a nice design, and I really like how its symmetrical. Tho nuggets seem to only want to flow to the right side, not that there are enough of them to warrant the left side operating. Gets me roughly 9 nuggets every 20 seconds, so 180 Iron Ingots and hour. I've used 12 large wheels to power it.

I was able to do this without mangrove roots or trap doors just place a sign in front of the conveyor that’s facing towards the brass funnel that picks up the iron nuggets

Im having a problem where the iron nuggets are coming out of only one side of the brass belt funnels instead of both of them, how do I fix this?

I don’t see anyone talking about this, but you actually don’t need any drills to break cobble stone. You see, when contraptions become disassembled they will break any block that is inside them, so you can just have a straight line of chassis attached to a bearing rotating at 1 rpm. push the cobblestone into the chase and stop the bearing and it will break the cobblestone. this method take no su, and breaks faster than any drills

huge thanks for the tutorial, but the amount of waterwheels for this design is just insane...

all the cobblestone seems to get stuck on just one of the millstone's (on each side) so its extremely slow for me (40 iron a hour) any fix?

This feels much faster than my Vanilla iron farm. Sure, it's a bit more expensive, a bit larger, but It's manageable and easy to power! Also, I put the funnel on the other side (The flint one) and collected the flint in a chest too, bcs Why not use the gravel you are producing ;)

Dang made this on Dawncraft in 1.18.2, did everything 1:1, it makes the gravel and goes through, everything runs, doesnt seem to make the iron, not sure what to change

Hey, i have some problems turning the rotation speed controller to -1. In general i cant put it to negative. Im playing a version where i have to hold right click in order to edit the speed.

So I finished building it, double checked everything and the list filter is set to deny gravel. When the machine is running it doesn't pick up iron nuggets or flint. Is there something else I'm missing?

hey guys , for anyone wondering , the farm works great just saw a few comments saying after the build is complete only 1 side is working i also ran into this issue , the fix i found was simply replacing the brass funnels with the iron nuggets filter with andersite filters , that did the trick now both sides are working

HELP! Only one side of the machine works for me - or, more specifically, only one brass filter (the iron nugget ones that come off of the vault) works at a time. It's like the vault chooses one of the two brass filters to use and completely ignores the other one. If I destroy the one it has chosen to use, then the other one starts working, but when I place the filter back, that one now no longer works as it has chosen to prioritize the other. Basically, it only allows one filter to be used at a time, not both. Anyone know what to do?

For some reason only one side works. Right side drops the ingot and gets pressed but on the left side nothing comes out the funnel so nothing gets pressed. Any one has a clue?

ngl I'm just a huge sucker and don't like the idea of killing a bunch of iron golems for their iron, so I wanted a "cruelty-free" iron farm. I know it's just a game and such but I'm happy to know that there's a murder-free iron farm in Create even if it's a bit slower 😆

How do you make the speed controller negative

I somehow managed to build it broken. Followed every step but the bras funnels arent picking up the items at all (tried changing the conveyor belt a bit but didnt work) Still troubleshooting so any help would be appreciated (Edit less then a minute later i relized that the funnel input/output might be the issue so ill place those back)

I made this to the T, and the lava won’t place on top of the water. The trap door just keeps going down. How do you fix that?

i tried replicating on a test, and it produces 108 iron ingots per hour ( 1 & 1/2 stacks of iron ingots) tho i used 10 mills instead of 8 and it used up 7064 su

As a tip since whilst using create you get mass amounts of items in farms I recommend using storage draws since after upgrading them each draw can hold millions of an item of your choice plus the compacting draw witch allows you to put let’s say an iron block in and you can pick between a block ingot or nugget.

I made a second level on top of this base to produce more gravel. I setup the same layout for the cobblestone and gravel generation above but the center belt is pushed one block to the front and is powered off the belts that feeds it gravel also reversed so the gravel drops down to the bottom belt on the part where It connects to the main drive. I have blocks around the backside to guide the gravel to drop down. The way I did it you can easily go multiple story's above

I think you can probably get away with just doing 1 press for this build with the rate that it's running at

I have the problem where the bason on the right side wont face the way I would like and I cannot fix it, Ive made another world to see if it was that but it wasnt

ittle tid bit here, this video is a year old and the interface for the rotational speed controller and the filter icon are different now. instead of one being negative you need to turn it the other direction now. The filter is now a list filter. Other than that everything works perfectly fine.

where you set the 2 rotation speed controllers to -1 and 1 ..... yehhhh, mine dont go minus for some reason. i hope when i get to the end of this build it all works fine.

Need some help with this lads. So on the left hand side of the build, the rotational speed thingy isn't appearing as -1 on speed regardless of how I set it. The entire left handside doesn't function even though it's receiving power. Gears are turning along with the belts but noiron nuggets are flowing. Strangley enough, the flint dump is working, just no items flowing on the left. BTW. Yes the belts are moving correctly. Been troubleshooting this for a week. I am currently playing on Mr Beardstones V2 Create modpack if that helps and Forge is set to 1.20.1

I build this recently in my own world, but it seems that only the left side press is actually collecting iron and pressing it down, any ideas on how to fix that?

I wonder how much flint this produces as a byproduct because you can use flint in combination with gravel and lava pressed in a basin to make andesite. This machine and an andesite machine could then be used to craft andesite casings automatically.

I did This on 1.18.2, you need to put a slab in the front of the brass funnel that is connected to the item vaults. This is because of the waterlog mechanics in 1.18.
