Sweet frankfurter griller. The only improvement I see would be drilling the lower holes for the skewer holders smaller so the skewers don't slide all the way through.

Thought about it, but the holes would have to be well less than 1/8" wide and it would be fiddly to get them in there. 👍

The ONE issue I have with the design is that the poker tip makes contact with the table surface. It may just be me, but I don't like the idea of the one part that actually enters my food has made direct contact with whatever unclean table surface the unit in on (this may be a totally irrational thought, I get that). That being said, I love seeing the iterative process! And I always enjoy seeing your videos! Thanks!

Do the pieces require any clean up with a grinder when they come out of the plasma cutter, or do they come out with as clean edges as it looks like in the video? I enjoy all your projects.

Great job as usual! If I am seeing it right, it doesn't really need to be welded to be used, correct? Tho you would have to be cautious when using it.

Thanks! The Deluxe holds together without welding. No caution needed. Just pick it up by the ends or by squeezing the sides together. But wait till it's cooled off, of course! 👍

I love it! What if the skewers were long enough to protrude through the other end of the Furter and there were skewer rests on each end which left the furter slightly elevated off the grill so they could be rotated/ rotisseried above the grill? Then one could go sit and spin on the furter burner.

Thanks! I considered something like this, but the skewers would have to be kind of stupidly long and wouldn't fit in the flat rate shipping box.

Yes, but then it would make the skewer too short to be useful. I don't think their touching the surface is much of an issue, really.

As of now, it includes a detachable handle that enables you to lift the grill when it's hot. I'd love to see someone make it work with wood!

Hmm.... I've sent the link to the weld up version to a couple people as sly hints for x-mas. I've actually been looking at buying a small Japanese style grill, and this would fit the bill nicely. One recommendation: Build an accessory plate that has a wire mesh instead of the grill grate. Hmm, I'm thinking I might also add a couple little notches to the tabs that hold the grill plate, so I can use skewers. Satay anyone?

Would you consider to sell stunt wieners too? xD And a corporation with Jimmy Diresta would be easy. You make the housing with your logo on the sides and Jimmy gets the grill plate with his logo. Maybe a product for other makers in general so that they could add there logo to it.
