Creators of Interview With The Vampire AMC discuss S1 & future plans (IWTV Podcast) 

8 years? Try 10 plus years. 13 books in the vampire chronicles and AMC intends to adapt them all. The first book was made into two seasons. The third book is a possible two seasons. That's 15 seasons of interview with the vampire. 😊

@@petboy5839 Where did you hear that ? Rolin said 8 years and each book will not be done individually. Season 1 was IWTV but it pulled from that book, TVL and Prince Lestat to bring in Dr Fareed Bhansali. Season 2, per Rolin will finish IWTV, and continue to pull from TVL and also The Vampire Armand....so a mix 3 books. The only book he said might need 2 seasons is QOTD so he may do TOTBT beforehand. But he had no intention of doing 13, of course since AMC owns all the Chronicles and The Witching Hour Trilogy anything is possible but very doubtful it will be the same cast or writers.

@@petboy5839 No problem. Same here, it's just Rolin is showrunner and head writer, so I take his word for it. But again anything is possible.

@@jordanparker657 I think he did mention season 2 was taking from the vampire Lestat. But we're still getting a vampire Lestat for season 3. We'll see

🤣. Me 2 👍🏾!! I laughed in PURE MOCKERY & TOTAL UNBELIEF when Louis said: "This is the Vampire Armand 🧛🏽 --- The L❤VE of My Life!!" I was expecting Daniel 👨🏼‍🦳with his "always reading a bitch 4 THE FILTH 👏🏾!" a$$ to cover his mouth 🤭 to try and (UNSUCCESSFULLY ) prevent himself from cackling uncontrollably 😂 b4 he realized Louis wasn't kidding & be like; "Oh, bitch . . . you was SERIOUS 😐?!" Then fall on the floor, roll around, & continue to cackle hysterically 🙇🏾‍♂️🤣!!

@@dominiquedevereux7205 That would be hilarious, like when Louis asked Lestat "am I not enough?" And Lestat burst out laughing. That scene cracks me up every time. Maybe we will see that in Part 2, because Daniel is looking at Louis, like WTF... Someone's gotta get our sweet Louis to a therapist immediately 😄🤗😁

@@jordanparker657 YES. That scene was sad in a way cuz Louis was being 💯 DEAD-A$$ with Lestat, but Lestat was unable to comprehend how much it meant to Louis 2B his "1-&-only 🥰." But it was slightly funny in how it highlights Lestat's emotional detachment from himself when he is required to be vulnerable to those he loves.

@@dominiquedevereux7205 Yes, Louis was dead a$$ and I think that's a part of what made it so funny to me. (Forgive my sadistic ❤️ heart. I'm a bit like Lestat in that way 😛) But Lestat told him his truth. He likes a little variety. But he, as well as all of us, know Louis is his only true love. 😍

Or Lestat relling his life in present time in his pursuit of Louis?...because he knows that Lous is his one and only SoulMate...

I'm so confused... did you not listen to the whole podcast? The answer to your question is literally in this podcast... Rolin Jones, the creator of the show, says here, multiple times: That they have planned for doing at least 4 of the books in the series. And at least 8 seasons. That's "Interview with a Vampire" - Book 1, "The Vampire Lestat" - Book 2, "Queen of the Damned" - Book 3 and "Tale of The Body Thief" - Book 4. This 1st&2nd Season is ONLY Interview with a Vampire, that's one single book. And it's only Louis' biography basically of his beginnings and human death and birth into life of a Vampire, from his POV. The Vampire Lestat which Rolin stated more than once, will be Season 3, and that's Lestats biography. His early life as a human, his death, birth into being a Vampire and early life up until meeting/making Louis then going into the beginnings of Queen of the damned. QotD & TotBT are Lestat driven/focused Vampire adventures basically. Louis is not telling what has happened in the past 600yrs, not sure where you got that from. Because Louis' only been alive for 33yrs and a Vampire for 111yrs. That's only 144yrs all together, by 2022. And Lestat has told him little to nothing about his own past, and if I remember correctly he doesn't really learn much of Armand's past either. So he literally wouldn't be able to tell what has happened in the past 600yrs. He doesn't have that knowledge. The Vampire Lestat will be in the past, in Lestats POV, based in the 1700's. Then Queen of the Damned should be in the present, for this shows timeline. Tale of the Body Thief will be technically in the (near) future.

@elliotalderson240 you missed my point...it's 2022 now and evidently, Louis has been with Armand for the last 50 years...my question is basically "Where is Lestat? "... "Does Louis not love Lestat in 2022?"....What happens in the continuation of the "Interview" with Armand present while Louis talks of the 2nd half of the book in 2022... and what happens in 2023 afterthe "interview" is over?... will Lestat ever return to get Louis now in 2022/23 while he is being held hostage to Armand?... those are my questions in the TV version of the continuation of the Vampire Chronicles... not what has happened in the past 16 books...
