THANK YOU SO MUCH! I started the conversion and couldn’t figure it out using the directions. So I came on here and found your video! I rewinded and watched over and over as I did my conversion ! Thank you so much ! Great video!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Im brand new to rcs and this is my first upgrade. You went kinda fast for me, lotd of rewind and pause, but I literally could not have done it without your help. Again, thank you so much! Great video, please keep them coming.
Looking forward to this, just orderd my LCG kit for both my 4x4 and 2wd slash. Knew the 4x4 would be easy but ive never taken the front or rear of the 2wd one off. Thanks for the video it helped!
This video helped me more than the instructions the kit came with. Fantastic Video, could not have done this without the video. There are some small differences coming from a box stock xl5. You have to remove the bumper to access all five of the screws holding the front assembly to the chassis. I suggest putting the screws in a divided box or cups, then labeling the piles. Thanks!!
Hi there, I'd just like to say thanks for the video. I'm new to all this and your video helped me up-grade the slash in a manner that I could keep up with :) Nice one Dood.
Great video. Thanks to you I didn't even have to look at the instructions ! My red STRC battery strap still seems to work. Im not sure why yours wouldn't work. My only issue is getting the front suspension how I had it with the stock springs. For me it seems the new springs are a lot shorter and changed up my suspension, but if I leave the HCG springs on without spacers it seems like a little to much. Have to play with it.
I love your upgrades vids man, you should be hired by traxxas to do a tutorial series lol or sponsor you on these videos, the vids are very very helpful! thanks again!
Thanks for this video, It came in very hand... One Note though... Now maybe this is a change in how the kit was made at the factory since this video was made.. But I found that even stock straight out of the box you still need to remove the bumper mount from the transmission. Otherwise the rear end doesn't just slide off.
Nice! You won't regret converting creature to lcg! I think it's one of the must-have upgrades for the slash 2wd and 4x4. They become better bashers and better racers. I really suggest it.
I REALLY want to see Creature decked out with leds that would be cool.. i also just got my lcg kit after seeing this and glad i found darkecliptic heart. helps me find upgrades and cool looking cosmetics add on's that my local dealer doesn't sell
Well done!!!! Excellent from start to finish! I bought a different color chassis too, didn't care for the blue. Do you have a video of how to dye the chassis?? Thanks!
Hey man I did this lcg chassis and I hooked up all electronics and now when I turn it accelerates and I get nothing when I put throttle I get nothing also when I steer I gets the throttle and the steering servo wants to steer but it won't I don't have the little spring that goes in the servo saver because I can't put It on
Man your videos are what keep me working on my slash, I want to upgrade my slash but money is kinda hard to use I'm wanting to get the sidewinder like yours but idk how good it is, could you make a run video or just tell me how you like it compared to the veleneon
Hey man that old frame not to be mean but can I please have it I want to git my fleat bigger becouse all I have is one and it a stampede 2wd and man I cant do much all I know about mine is how to tack off the motor and esc and ur videos help me with that
Jason S If its brushed, yes they will barley reach but not fully, so they'll come unconnected. I honestly don't know what to tell you other than if you want to keep your stock system, dermal down the chassis and screw holes and ridges that the esc normally sits on and double side tape your esc further back on the chassis, or you could get a VXL or castle system which will reach the motor.
I can't believe traxxas did this. I have the vxl but traxxas should have added a extension for the brushed motor or said that this won't work for the brushed. I would have called traxxas and tell them. they could send you 2 bullet extensions to allow you to have the brushed motor as a backup. I would do that if i were you.
David Morawsky me neither man! my friend had to solder longer wires from a different brushed motor on to his titan 12t just so it could reach the esc. But not everyone can solder well.
I just started a rustler build! My very first rc ! I broke it on the second time running it so I need upgrades badly! Please help what's the best aluminum parts I can get for the 2wd rustler and the motor needs upgrading as well but I have limited funds so that will have to wait for a while! Any advice will help
The front turn buckles are to long that connect to the turn rods so the travel has been affected so I have to trim them at order new ones! Don't know why they came with two extra holes
If u had the budget when u bought the car you would've saved a lot of money by getting the 70 mph one, then you wouldn't have to replace the engine until u choose u wanted to be getting like 100 mph instead of 70mph, good shocks for the rustler would be pro line shocks, if u have a local hobby shop you should be able to go in theyre and ask then for best shocks, but that also depends on your budget, I bought the pro line pro spec shocks for my slash and they were $53 at my hobbytown, so depending on ur price range will depend on how fast u can upgrade to alluminum, I'm slowly going to allmuinum because I don't have a great budget,
+Racing2Learn It still does require the servo saver. The only reason why I don't have one on here is that I have the proline performance steering bellcranks with the servo saver integrated into the bellcranks.
