Dude, someone with a BUNCH of videos on Traxxas upgrades? I`m SO subbed :D Only have a rustler and not the slash, but a LOT of it will come in real handy ;)
I highly suggest soaking the bearing in WD-40 for about 20mins occasionally working the bearing to let the WD-40 in. After that soak in Mobile One synthetic oil for 20mins and again occasionally working the bearing to let in the oil. If your daring enough remove the rubber seals first. This helps and makes the process faster.
just swapped trannys in my bandit this vid allowed me to basically to change with only slight references to the instructions. great vid. one thing to watch on a bandit though. the rear arms will bind on the new arm mounts if using the stock arms. takes some time to free up.
Traxxas fucked up designing the stock gearbox having the a arms connect to it. When the A Arm mount breaks you have to break down the whole fucking truck. What a bunch of assholes. Thanks for this vid. It will help whenever I upgrade from the traxxas trash design to RPM. What a pain in the ass job....
I know right. Kojo. Has donated alot to jason from a whole 1/10 traxas rally to even the parts to up grade for it and other rc jason has. Big props to Kojo
ok i must say i was a little disappointed when you took the shock covers off the nitro but after the fact i think the new ones look good. Just fyi i think creature is the best looking truck you have
After almost a year the spur gear is now somehow rubbing on the drive shafts any idea how to fix? They’re both molded in place so I’m really lost on how this happened
I basically have the same setup as you except not the cosmetic upgrades that you have on the creature😢. But I was wondering what the best tires for the slash 2wd with a castle motor and lipo battery and I usually run a little off-road but also on the street. So just wondering what are the best tires for the job or even suggestions. Any help will be appreciated .thanks
i herd that rpm gear box flexes and the aluminum is to heavy so i would tell u to get the proline performance gears it makes it performs better and more durability so its better than rpm and aluminum
I lucked out and got the last one in my local store, but it is blue. You can get just the main chassis in black, but they are hard to find. Check amazon though. Great vids.
This long screw they provide you with that attaches to the a arm holder attached to the transmission does not even fit inside the hole that is through the transmission box itself. Anybody else have this problem? By the way I have a rustler.
The 3 degrees gives you the ability to take turns better. However it very slightly takes away from performance in straight runs. For 0 degrees, it's opposite.
Careful what you say. You're passionate about your knowledge but this is what is advised to do from TRAXXAS. Do not use black grease on the outside of the diff. You can on the inside but it's not advised for the outside. HOWEVER, you could, if you want or choose to, use black grease on the outside. The fact that it's metal means you need to use grease. With plastic gears, you could get away with not using grease at all if ALL or the majority, of the gears are plastic. For example, the inside of the transmission on a MERV.
