That was music ! I was 18 in 1968 and my brother and I listened to CCR even while doing the dishes. ''I put a spell on you'' was the favorite one when having parties in the basement. Upstairs, our parents could feel the floor vibrates to the sound of the guitar. Great year for music.
Genauso sehe ich es auch. Es tut mir weh was uns verloren ging. Karin
Is that a Rickenbacker guitar he is using? I know they have a very unusual tone to them...I just assumed he was using a LP. Great feedback from the Amp. I saw him "try" to do it another time on a different song..it just wouldn't co-operate with him. One hell of a show here guys! I would have loved to have been there!! 😁✌️
As many comments have already put it: a real masterpiece. Everything: the voice, the guitars, the solo, the drumming, the feeling, the sound, the power, the... - you name it.
Absolutely by far the BEST version ever. Nobody else comes close to this rendition. CCR really knows how to interpret this song, much better than the original in the 50's
Concordo plenamente. Tenho 67 anos e é a minha banda preferida desde a minha juventude 💯 pra ela.❤️
Love CCR and John Fogerty. I'm 67 and so glad I grew up with this music and many more, Mow town, British invasion, The Righteous Brothers, The Allman Brothers and so many more!
Holy shit that voice tho... He's way older than me but my mom grew up to this music and as a kid I remember listening to this on the river, camping out on the sandbars, Bonfires with firefly filled nights, swimming in the river all day and having the best grilled burger and falling asleep in my tent ⛺ on the sand bar listening to my mom having an amazing time with her friends.... I remember and cherish the moments that seems so simple to most but means everything to me that I will carry with me until the day I die....
There's no voice quite like John Fogerty's. I was born in the early 90's, & I have listened to CCR since I was old enough to enjoy music. No other style or age of music will ever compare to the tireless jams made irreplaceable by the legends that made this music so special. This kind of music was recorded well before my time, but I'll love rock n' roll til' the day I die. I hope there are at least some people in my generation that can appreciate solid gold oldies. The old soul in me can't get her fix without blasting some CCR (and a few other favorites) every now and then. Thank you CCR for turning me on to rock n' roll, your music will always be a part of me.
+Tammy Collins I am 57 and I really respect the way you can think for yourself and not be influenced by the current group pressure to conform to the slop masquerading as music today. Best wishes from Australia
Everyone talks about the guitar players but forgets about the incredible drummer. What an excellent powerful and spectacular way to play the drums. love it.
I am from Argentina ... I am 35 years old and my father made me listen to this song when I was 12 ... Since then I have had it among my all-time favorites. I really love it! thanks Dad!
First time I listened to this was with headphones, DaNang Vietnam, 1968. It instantly became my favorite CCR song. I continue to have this on my gym play list of songs today, 52 years later. It reminds me of those times, late night on California freeways and this tune would come on and I would slip the Porsche into fifth gear and just cruise. I was surprised that out of all the CCR songs and hits, there were so many others whose fondness for this is as great as mine.
@@patriciajohnson6653 Aw Particia, I believe it was in Vietnam where I caught yellow fever. More than anything, the ladies cast their spells on me... lived with seven women (not at the same time lol) married three of them... stayed good friends with them all. My third and final wife is Chinese. Married 16 years now. Thanks
John Fogerty doesn't get enough credit for his guitar playing. Everyone agrees he's an amazing singer, but I never hear anyone talk about his guitar playing.

I was only 6/7 yrs old when I fell in love with CCR's music, the first time I heard John's voice was magical. My uncle played their album constantly. Life wouldn't be the same without CCR❤
FABULOUS !!! Probably the greatest song of ALL TIME !!! This song moves me in ways I can't discuss in public.... The talent behind this song is phenomenal.. Oh my this is sooo good... I love AC/DC my favorite band but CCR is an extremely close second , and spell on you is #1, numero uno... OH!!! What this song does to me, can't you feel it !!!!
Heart and soul . . . this rendition is magic . . . I recently found "I put a spell on you" again and can't believe how many memories it's evoking . . . Love it . . . love it . . . love it . . . That deep soul beat with the rhythm and bass guitars and the incredible drum beat with John Fogarty's voice and his guitar playing completes the whole amazing sound . . . I am a grandmother and I loved Creedence Clearwater Revival as a younger woman . . . still love them. I play it at least once a day now . . .
