When Eric Kripke create the show, he wanted to start with urban legends, like the lady in white in the first episode. Of course urban legends and fears tend to go together, as well as ghost stories. Just have to wait and see what happens. 😁

Keep waiting for you to comment on the aliases the boys use. They are always a famous duo - Hamil & Ford (Star Wars) Tyler & Perry (Aerosmith) etc. Regarding phobias... They seem to get through all of them over the 15 years, and even helped me develop some new ones... Lol

I really appreciate that you decided to watch the whole series rather than the first and last episodes.. I saw one of those today.. poor girl cheated herself. Dead in the water is, for me, third favorite episode of this season. It's going to be a minute but I can't wait for you to see some of the convention panels.. That brotherly banter isn't just in front of the cameras.

Some shows r fun first vs lasts but others? U need to ask the fans which episode is REALLY the last EP in a poll. The chronological last ep was NOT the last ep. No. It was the EP before that. Or Swan Song. Depends on how u see it. Maybe they should do a first mid n last thing for SPN. That could work out better.

Lol. They are pretty. Sam's hair becomes a running gag because it changes every season. I even saw a quiz guessing the season based on a picture of his hair. I think you asked during the pilot how tall they are. Sam is 6'4" and Dean is 6'1". Dean was never known as the short one until this show. Lol. They are very pretty but it makes me feel like a creeper being a lot older than them. Best show ever! There are so many favorite episodes that it almost doesn't mean anything to pick favoorties. That said this is one of my numerous favorites. Their chemistry is the best. Look for the gag reels after each season concludes. They even include the crew! It's a true family. Also Erik Kripke wanted to make a show like the 70s-80s shows that featured a car and Wala we have Supernatural! 👻

It took me over 10 years to realize that girl in this episode is played by Amy Acker. Gotta be one of my favourite actresses. Her characters in both "Angel" and "Person of Interest" were amazing.

At the end of each season you should watch their bloopers they are so funny and it really shows how much they laugh with each other and just have fun.

This show has some pretty great early episodes but it really does evolve as the seasons go by and I’m excited for you to continue the journey. This is one of the best of the early eps. I also recommend reacting or watching the season bloopers as well, they are hilarious. You’ll also probably enjoy some of the convention panels, they don’t just have great chemistry on set, it’s hard not to see them as brothers off set as well. 😄

I don't know if you've heard about it yet, but if you like this style of storytelling you should totally check out The Boys. It's an amazon series that is just now finishing up their third season (they also just welcomed Jensen Ackles who plays Dean in this 3rd season as a main character). It was created and directed by Erik Kripke, who also directed and created Supernatural. The show is practically a superheroes show, except it's way more raunchy and kinda flipped around in the typical superheroes. No one really is a hero because practically all of them have their villain-moments. It's a really cool twist in a typical Kripke way. All 3 seasons are 8 episodes and an episode is give or take an hour long. That means that by the end of this season there'll only be about 22 hours of screen time, making it quite easy to get through

I watched that show all 15 seasons. Love it! I think it's my all time favorite tv show. Those 2 are so close. Their kids call the other one Uncle and their wives Aunt. Their full time homes are both in Austin. They've directed the others new shows. They just work so well together. They're like real brothers

This remains one of the episodes (aside from "Bugs") that really creeps me out. It's that split-second you see Peter's face emerging from the lake. It gets me every time. And Peter's mother recounting what happened to her son is just heartbreaking. SPN is great at doing "monsters of the week", especially in the earlier seasons, but there are definitely threads throughout the episodes of an overarching plot. The comedy and the music just gets better and new characters are just fantastic!

The scene when Dean pulls the kid up from under the water is awesome! I agree with you about creepy kids. I rather deal with a Wendigo than a creepy kid. I remember the sheriff from waaaay back in his soap opera days. I'm an Dean girl (old lady). I was never one for the smart boys. I liked the bad boys with the leather jackets, hot cars & rock music. I still listen to the same music, I still have my leather jacket, I married a bass player, & believe it or not, my first car (my Dad bought it for me as a high school graduation present) was a 67 Impala. That was in 1971, in Detroit. But it was a 2 door, turquoise color. What I would give to have that car back.

Looks like you are leaning as a 'Sam fan'. If the fandom needs to label that. I am a Dean girl, but yeah they are both awesome especially together. These early seasons do so well with the low budget of laying out great scenes and stories. I look forward to all your reactions that you care to share. I understand how much time is involved if you can't do all of them, but as long as you are watching them that is all that matters!

Creepy kids huh? Good luck with that one. I think at least half of the actual children in this show have their creepy moments. I would say that the earlier seasons have the most creepy things though because in the later seasons they have other kinds of overarching storylines that'll get more focus than the really creepy stuff. That's one of the reasons that the mid-seasons are liked best by most people (more of an overarching plot, other important characters, but still the Erik Kripke feeling)
