I've been making eggrolls for about a year using low carb tortillas but always use cooked eggroll in a bowl for the filling. These freeze well after frying and crisp up nicely in the airfryer. I always make enough to freeze for a quick meal another day.
Oh my!These look superb! I am definitely going to check out thrive market! Unfortunately, my husband is in the hospital with cancer, good prognosis, but his diet may be different than mine. He tells me to do what’s best for me but he comes first. . Once he can eat again, we will be low carb and keto for sure. Thank you Mayra! I have some found pork from my pasture raised meat and wasn’t sure what to do with it. Many thanks!❤
Yep definitely making. I will def cook the filling first though because I’m very familiar with those Ala Madre tortillas (always have them on hand) and I know that if you fry them too long, they become very hard and stabby lol. Great idea, Mayra.
These sound great! I would like to find low carb corn tortillas that are non GMO. Does anyonw know of a company that sells them? Or a recipeto make them?
I love Chinese and Asian foods- one being egg rolls. But I have to desist for buying them because they’re not low carb or even keto. So thanks a million Myra for this option to make my favorite chicken or shrimp egg rolls!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻 Gonna make them tomorrow for sure!
@@LowCarbLove I'm learning to limit myself from things that I liked and cooked a lot of it. I'm excited to try them I went from 280 to 233 just doing keto backing up making healthy choice. Now I'm waiting on my thrive box to get her..
@@joniroussel1123 yes they came out wonderful!!!! I used strimp and the other ones I did ground chicken because my kids can't eat shrimp .. Everything came out great very easy to cook..
I have a friend from China, a chef, who told me that you dip your finger in egg white and put it around the edges as a "glue" when you roll them up. He said: "Why do you think they call them egg rolls ?" I had no answer.
Yesss girl. I miss eggrolls. I tried to make the eggrolls with the egglife wraps. Didn't turn out the best. But I absolutely love the Mr. Tortilla wraps. They are very thin so thinking that would work also. Have a blessed Sunday.
I'm curious. What's your take on cooking the meat first, like I was making the egg roll in a bowl. Then rolling them up in the tortilla, then putting it into the air fryer? I'm trying to stay away from oil fried foods. I know you used avocado oil which is great, but I'm a post bariatric patient. Let me know...And keep these videos coming gurl, they're awesome!
i will try this but I wanted to know if you can make a recipe with Eggplant. I love Eggplant and the only way I know how to make anything is the stuffed eggplant boats. Do you have any other recipes that could be low card. Thanks Love. Nor.
Im going to use the zero net carbs wrapper...and use a carb blocker because i know i will want more than one. Now im thinking that i could come up with a crab rangoon recipe and use these crispy shells.
I'll be making these tomorrow using Keto Chipotle tortillas. My frozen egg rolls had expired. Your recipe solved my dilemma. Recipe fusion wins once again!😇
cook the meat first!...I cook mine on med low, and meat was still not fully cook!...the tortilla almost burn....But the next time I made them I cook the meat and then fry..and they were perfect!..Thanks Mayra
Hi, I'd like to put in an order for delivery! I don't have time for prepping and cooking most days, but damn if I could order everything you make I'd be one happy man. 😂😂😂
I would definitely cook the meat/egg roll bowl first and then cut up a sheet of Joseph’s Low Net Carb Flax Lavash Bread into squares - easier to roll and less carbs. I use the remaining strip for tortilla chips and guacamole
The tortillas you used are clearly corn tortillas and you stated that they are low carb with only 3g net carbs per tortilla. Corn tortillas usually have at least 12-15g net carbs per tortilla. What brand of corn tortillas are you using that have such a low carb count?
@@racheller2743 I didn't see the link in the description (they're not from Thrive) but found it later in her blog. They are corn tortillas from A La Madre. Thanks.
I do more of the Atkins and my cholesterol is great now ....and my a1 is 5 now. I try for under 20 carbs a day...I also use the carb blockers that are made from 100 percent white beans. Best wishes.
I hate to say it, but the ziplock bags in the microwave is a bad idea. Your tortillas are loaded with toxic chemicals from the bag. I was really shocked at this method!😮
@@kbmomyluv4 Target sells a Ziploc called “ENDERABLES” which are safe for OVENS & MICROWAVE use. Research should always be done before putting a video out to the masses!
