Hello all!
I've been working on this for almost a year, but I took a couple of long breaks for school in the middle. but I'm very happy to finally be done with it! I learned a lot while making it, and I can't wait to start new projects! I have so many ideas. Critical Role has been very important to me, so it feel good to do like, A Big Project.

Ahoy! I forgot to add a content warnings card, so I'm pinning this here for a more detailed description of what happens- because it's more gory than what I usually do. Jester hits Lucien with a spell (guiding bolt), after this, he rips himself in half, only the beginning of this is shown before it cuts to black with a flesh ripping sound. in the shot with him in it, there is animated blood and you can kinda see his ribs. after it cuts to behind his body and everybody looking at him, but in this shot you can't see any gore. this goes from 0:27 - 0:35

Really captured Jester's anguish after she had just watched Caleb get struck down, protecting her from Lucian's blades. Caleb willed Jester's body over to Caduceus so he could revive her and then Caleb got skewered by Lucien's bladed tendrils, killing him.

I love how you framed the battlefield, when on a map movement and positions of the character sometimes feel unrealistic but the relief you out to it really puts everything in perspective AND make Lucien all the more scary

It’s so incredible to see you still doing work for Critical Role, since that was how I found this channel and your art, and this is such a visual treat. Your art always has such a certain touch to it, a very wonderful fluidity which is already clear in the sketchier pieces but ESPECIALLY in polished ones like these, and I can’t tell you what I’d give to see an entire full-length work in your style. Maybe one day!! For now, though, I adore this to bits and will rewatch it so many times. What a great moment to choose too! Jester landing the finishing blow on Lucien was just cinematic poetry and you captured that PERFECTLY. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. 🖤🖤🖤

For the longest time I felt Jester never had to learn from the repercussions of her tricks and pranks. She was an adult child who graffiti art genitalia, odd considering her mom was a shut-in courtesan who she wanted to stop. Looking back her tricks came back to haunt her: she never learned heal spells early on and got her and her friends captured, leading to Mollymauk's death. Then the ultimate trick of freeing her friend by killing him. Add that to the TravelerCon incident and she finally learned to rein in her chaos a bit.

@@beansbees No problem I'm not one to be squeamish and I knew it was coming but the sound is probably what freaked me out a bit. Loved the video either ways. I might be complaining a bit but I atleast watched the video like 5 times so it's not that bad of a scare LMFAOO

The amount of time you but into this really shows, it's so damn pretty. Jester looks like a magical girl while casting the spell, as she would, and it just manages to add to the gravity of the scene so much. I love this.
