@@killawattgarage Turned out great, thank you. Had to leave the exhaust manifold loose on the studs to be able to get the band clamp on the cat, then tightened up the exhaust manifold, there wasnt a lot of room to move the band clamp over the flange of the cat for me.
Hey mate, fantastic video I’ve followed all along and had great success replacing my oil cooler… can’t thanks you enough… now I’m having issues with the coolant system, I’ve re added coolant and I keep getting what looks like bubbling in the overflow bottle 😢… I’ve also tried loosening up the bleeder point on the radiator… and also when I take cap off coolant reservoir it starts to rise and come out, when I put it back on it all get sucked into system. But this bubbling doesn’t stop.
Double check the system is bleed correctly and you are getting heat with the heater. Sometimes if the oil cooler was leaking real bad it leaves the radiator blocked and traps air.
Excelente step by step video… In my cruze 2012, the water reservoir is contaminated with oil, shall I clean the system before repack with new gaskets…??
I have a holden cruze 1.8L 2012 sedan. I noted oil leak on to the exhaust manufold and traced it back to the oil cooler. I then replaced the oil cooler assembly and topped up the coolant and oil. There were no further leaks when i switched on the engine. Though i did notice white smoke coming from the bottom of the engine, a knocking sound coming from the engine at idle and the oil light turned on in the dash. The OBD2 scanner reads P0011 code. The oil level is aqequate on the oil dipstick. The intake variable timing solenoid is also working. However I did not crank the engine to build the oil pressure. I can't seem to find the cause of low oil pressure or how to fix it? I think the P0011 is related to the problem causing the low oil pressure?
Hey mate, need your advice, please. I replaced my oil cooler with my mechanic, and 5 days later, it started leaking again. I bought the oil cooler from ebay with 5 years warranty , with all the oil seals , because a genuine Holden oil cooler was $700 without the seals with only 2 years warranty He fixed it again because the new part I got had a hairline split in the casting "we think." So we opted to try and use the new inner cooler and bolt it onto the outer older casting because it looks perfectly fine . The reason why we did this is because you can just buy the internals to save money as the outer casting is usually not the issue . Most times the seals go on these wich makes them leak . So can you throw both of us any ideas, maybe an oil pressure issue, blocked outlet valve somewhere????
