@@helaberger4018 it is a shame things have changed for the worse! she is stunning and a great voice! and her hair is short in this vidio! it was down to her ankles before.
Voted most beautiful woman in the world in 1983, Grammy award winning. First sibling in her family to be born in a hospital. 19 years younger than her sister, Loretta Lynn. Hand down, one of my favorite Country singers.
There’s a lot of people who don’t know that her and Loretta are sisters and she had voice lessons, her sister paid for them of course, it’s too bad her dad wasn’t alive to know what a career both of them had, even though they had different styles and did well, Loretta’s career is one that will always be remembered for how incredibly famous she became
When I think of heaven, I can envision Crystal from these early days singing, smiling, looking like an Angel. I can hear the true country in her voice. Brings tears to my eyes to see and hear her beauty.
It was at this point in her career that I got a few minutes face time with Crystal Gayle. I was already a fan, and she autographed my copy of "Crystal". But, she played in town and her show was only promoted by ONE country station. I worked for their competition. There were a lot of empty seats and Crystal was not pleased! I went to the show with a portable recorder in tow. After the show I worked through the greet and autograph line and asked her if she'd be willing to record some promos for my show. She agreed and we disappeared into a quiet room, with a voice from the promoting station objecting that they had an invader (me) fading away as we went. She recorded my promos and expressed her displeasure with the way the show had been promoted (not well) and autographed my copy of "Crystal", though that has been lost in time. Such a long time ago. 1976, I was 23.
Crystal Gayle is one of the most underrated country music singers. This is one of my favorites. Makes me think of seeing her at the Ohio State Fair in 1982 or 83. Good stuff.
That is a real woman right there and as beautiful as a man could ever dream of! Everything about her is attractive. Her and Anita Carter in my opinion have the two best female voices in country music that does something to this man for sure.
I do think it was a #1 song for her but I agree that it sorta gets lost in her vast catalog of hits. Plus all her signature hits were right around the corner... don't it make my brown eyes blue...talking in your sleep.. why have you left the one you left me for
This woman Crystal,i simply fell in love with her the first time i listened to her many years ago.i wish i could watch her live on stage,i hope someday soon,i will
Like a brook bubbles and drops and dances over the pebbles and stones in a mountain pass! Much more beautiful than diamonds, and lovely as a unique bird-song!🐦🎵🎵
Saw her in a concert in St Helena, ca. She put on the best show ever. 2 1/2 hours of her singing. Such a wonderful voice and range of musical style. She personifies what a quality talent is. Too bad todays entertainers lack Crystals talent.
Her range is amazing! "Restless" has an outlaw vibe like a Waylon song, and a lot of her songs crossed over into the Adult Contemporary charts. She could sing anything! She is a vocalist in the purest sense.
i believe this is my favorite by crystal. the arrangement is huge not quite c &w. her voice goes between herself and loretta's especially on the studio track. tremendous, of course from my fav music year of all '76.
Crystal has made millions of people smile and gave people happiness with her beautiful music. I am 10 years younger than her.Crystal needs to have God's blessing and appreciation for just herself and all her family and friends. If i can make her smile and and if she has a bad day here is a saying " a person never gets old, old gets them!!!! God bless and have a wonderful day
I think she is more beautiful than Olivia Newton John, and Shanel Twain. What do you think? I mean I love ONJ too until I came back to see more of Crytal's videos. Cheers
Sittin' on my bed a thinkin' Thinking that my heart is sinkin' Everyday the world goes by With you gone All I do is dream about you Living ain't a life without you Honey can you find it in you To come back home? Never miss a real good thing I know what it means Never see the light of day 'Til it goes away Never want a drink of water 'Til the well runs dry Never miss a real good thing 'Til he says good-bye I guess you must of had your reasons Maybe you were right in leavin' I know you never found yourself In what we had And honey you've a right to blame me Maybe even time would change me Can't you see the good that's in me And over look the bad? Never miss a real good thing I know what it means You never see the light of day 'Til it goes away Never want a drink of water 'Til the well runs dry You never miss a real good thing 'Til he says good-bye Never miss a real good thing I know what it means Never see the light of day 'Til it goes away Never want a drink of water 'Til the well runs dry You never miss a real good thing 'Til he says good-bye💋
Miss Gayle your music always makes me happy and relaxed. I hope you will always walk down River Road. The most beautiful eyes I have ever seen on a woman. Just love you Christal. 10/1/10
This fantastic video is the next best thing to seeing Crystal in a live concert. Crystal played to a full house 3 straight nights in Las Vegas last weekend...and I was fortunate enough to be there.
Good observation. Being Loretta's younger sister, Crystal's roots were firmly planted in 'country' early on. However, after 4-5 years she evolved to a more middle-of-the-road (MOR) sound where she enjoyed her greatest success with a total of twenty #1 songs. Her humble Kentucky and Indiana upbringing and somewhat shy personality make her more identifiable with country than with a flashy pop image.
A fan from Holland since the eighties went to her show in Leemore California 8 years ago (remember she mentioned her tourbus was stolen) what a voice still and what a nice personality and always time to meet her fans. What a beautifull lady and the best female voice in country.
If I remember right: April 30, 1977. The show was called "disco 77", has had cult status because of variety of music and host Ilja Richter. Was aired on German station ZDF.
Me an my mom came to her concert in phx,az and we loved every minute of it,my mom past away an that's memory I will never forget, love crystal,ps.im named after her
I remember going to a Loretta Lynn concert in the early 70’s, Miss Lynn was sick & couldn’t perform so in her place they gave us Crystal Gayle. The audience ‘booed’ because they didn’t know the wonderful talent right in front of them. 🥴
From the beginning she chose quality songs to record and her albums where magnificent examples of a multi-talented artist. I agree with the many who believe was the greatest song she recorded.
WOW !!! YOU'VE MADE MY DAY, MY WEEK, MY MONTH, MY YEAR, MY LIFE - SO GREAT TO DISCOVER NEW, GOOD QUALITY, CRYSTAL VIDEOS THAT I HAVEN'T SEEN YET - SHE MADE BE THE MOST POWERFUL WOMAN THAT EVER LIVED, AND SHE USED THAT POWER WELL - SO IN COMMAND OF HER WORLD CLASS TALENT, AND YET AT THE SAME TIME HAVING TO DEAL WITH THE CURSE OF BEING ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN OF ALL TIME - SO MUCH GOOD STUFF STUCK IN HER, LIKE NO ONE ELSE EVER HAS, OR EVER WILL HAVE !!!
