Today we remove the snow blower on my Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 mower and install the mower deck.
This mower has a manual PTO.
This process is the same for the LT42 and the XT2.

Didn’t realize cub cadet xt1 and xt2 could be equipped with snow thrower. Great job explaining. Video and audio was very clear

Most useful video I've seen in a long time. If only all RU-vid content were like this. Just swapped blower without having to get the kids or wife involved

This vid was EXTREMElY helpful. I now know that i will need to purchase a separate snow blower and thus never ever having to remove the mower attachment. 🙏🏼ty

Thanks for posting that, the instructions are baffling at best and i've twisted wrenches for a long time. 👍

Excellent demonstration, thinking I'll just stick with my Arnold snowplow, we don't get a lot of snow.

@@jackofalltrades7822, but I should add, I'm disabled, messed up back, knees & hip so laying down on concrete is next to impossible, lol but I can dream & continue watching Cub Cadet's & Kubota's snowblow...

You're into is epic! Hats off to your digital media/video editor guy! Guns, wood stoves, more guns with silencers, atvs, hard core "get er done music", more guns, woodworking, more guns, welding. I forgot what I came for but all I know is I am fully erect right now, lol.

So that BLACK box on the frame comes off separately? Then hook PTO cable first before installing snow blower. I have the same setup as you. Thanks
@jackofalltrades7822
@jackofalltrades7822 Год назад
Yup. 2 part to the snowblower. The PTO and the blower unit. If you go into n exactly the reveres order of the video that would be the install.
@AimingWanderously
@AimingWanderously 6 месяцев назад
You remove the snowblower frame first, separate from the PTO assembly, another video leaves it all attached as one unit and drops it with the snowblower frame. Is there a reason you do it this way instead of leaving both pieces attached and drop all at once?
@jackofalltrades7822
@jackofalltrades7822 6 месяцев назад
Yes. It is way too heavy with the PTO still attached. That PTO unit is not light and it is easier to separate it than try to manhandle it. Thanks for watching.

For the life of me I can't figure out why they put that "bow pin" bracket with 2 holes on every deck, necessitating labeling which hole the pin goes in on which deck. Why not have the proper one for each deck size instead of dual-hole ones on all decks?

I know its been a couple years but do you happen to have any info on the sno blower attachment? Looking to get an XT LT 46 and would love to get the snow blower attachment

@@platinumdad9492 I believe Cub is still selling the same snowblower. I love the snowblower. It really relocates the snow. Thanks for watching.

I bought this recently and I never once thought about the snow blower attachment. Right now I'm paying a neighbor (I live in Maine) and he does a great job but wondering if I can take on the task myself this year if I get the blower. Was wondering what you thought, my driveway is not paved, its gravel/dirt and is about 250 yards long, with maybe 25 total feet of incline. Is this actually an option? Not sure if it can handle the length, heavy snow and incline. Any thoughts on this I would appreciate it. Thanks
@jackofalltrades7822
@jackofalltrades7822 Год назад
That might be more than it can handle.

Have you experienced the belt to the snow blower attachment coming off? I have gone through 2 belts because the keep coming off
@jackofalltrades7822
@jackofalltrades7822 Год назад
No, I have not lost a single belt. Make sure you have it routed correctly and the belt is the correct length.

Great video, I have the same set up but I found I was breaking the shear pins multiple times on the yellow auger even though I was not over-taxing it.....have you had the same issue?
@jackofalltrades7822
@jackofalltrades7822 Год назад
I have broken a couple. Usually because I sent a chunk of ice through it. It always seems to be the back half of the auger.
