I just purchased this at Costco yesterday. I’m excited to try out your recipe video’s! Thanks ...I like your awesome voice and your thorough descriptions!
I may never buy an air fryer, but I will come back to hear your reviews, because you sound like a real nice guy. It is pleasant to hear your voice at the end of the day. Plus, you are informative. Keep up the good work. We need more nice people on RU-vid.
I ordered this Digital Air Fryer, and in doing some research I happened upon this video and I'm so, so happy that I did!!! Darnell ... thanks so much, I subscribed and will look over some more of your recipes! Very much appreciate this video ... love your honest, straight up style!
This is a very good overview of the Cuisinart oven ... the best I have seen on RU-vid. If I had found this video six months ago, I might have bought a Cuisinart instead of a Breville Smart Oven Air, but I made my selection and I am very pleased. I use the Breville every day, and would not want to do without it. Nonetheless, I am impressed enough with the Cuisinart, based on your video, that I will probably buy one for my daughter, who wants to scale down but who could use a reliable and versatile oven such as the Cuisinart.
I bought one of these from COSTCO for $180 few days ago had a trip there , cant wait to Unpacked it i have Cuisinart other thire small kitchen appliances all of them real good & goes for years, very good brand ...my FAV is Breville Joule Oven Air Fryer Pro but is SUPER expensive , thanks for review
You answered all of my questions I had (and then some) on this model. I appreciate your detailed and thorough comparisons on features/design/price. I think I'm ready for my 1st air fryer toaster oven! Thank you!!
After much consideration & alot of researching of air-fryers, you have convinced me to go for this one 😊 Thank you. I was able to pick one up from Costco in Australia for $349, yes it's alot of money to put into an air fryer but I know its going to be a great investment for our busy family of 6. Especially on those busy school afternoons with all the kids extra curricular arvo activities & it's easy enough to use that even the kids can bake & cook if they wanted something quick an easy.
Our gas wall oven broke, I replaced the ignitor, still broken - seems to be the gas safety valve. After realizing how much that part is, or the cost of a replacement oven, which I would have to pay to have installed, I started looking around for alternatives and came across your channel. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH!
I literally turned off the gas line to my kitchen oven and stove years ago and never looked back. I use induction cook tops for things needing a stovetop. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ulvs-Ro_e0I.html Recently moved to a new place, one of the first things done, disabled the gas line to the stove. I was bumping into the knobs and causing gas leaks by it slightly turning on for something never used.
@@WaveOvenRecipes That is exactly what I've been thinking. I've wanted for a while an induction cooktop, and to get rid of the gas lines. I'm just not prepared to make all those decisions and get the wiring done for electric cooktop in a snap decision. My husbands biggest concern was cooking his rising crust DiGiorno pizzas, and mine was the teflon coating in some of those machines that triggers my asthma. You gave me the perfect solution. Again, thanks!
Darnell, I really wanted the Breville Smart Oven Air, but it was just way out of my price range. The Breville Smart Oven Pro seemed like a good alternative, but it didn't have an air fry option. This Cuisinart was my next option. There are a lot of bad reviews out there, but I wanted to check out your opinion as a final say! Always so thorough, and keeping it real
I just got one. Thanks for the thorough review. FWIW, what I imagine a lot of us new owners could use is a "video manual" where someone like yourself walks us through some of the procedures. I have the manual next to me and I was hoping I wouldn't have to read it, but it looks like I will. "How to use the TOA-65" just isn't out there in youTube land as far as I can see.
Awesome review!! Managed to find this on amazon refurbished for $160 ($140 cheaper than normal price) so I ordered it immediately and I am VERY excited.
You present such a professional presentation on your reviews. Great voice. These cooking companies should be paying you to represent them. Thank you for your hard work and time. My best to you.
Just found your channel. Waiting on my TOA-65 to arrive, never had one before. Looking forward to watching more of your videos and learning a lot. Have a Happy and Safe New Year!
I ended up getting this oven and I"m also loving it. I wish the basket was non stick but other than that I am enjoying it. It does cook hot so I'm and watching things. I eat keto and have made a chicken breast in pork rinds/parmesaem, sweet potato curly fries, onion rings in protein powder, and roasted brocolli. I'm glad I found your channel, looking forward to making some keto french toast and baking some muffins. Thanks
Thank you for your review! My two daughters bought it for me for my 60th bday. I have to say, it kind of intimidated me. The digital features what's throwing me off. Kind of confusing at first.
Best all around review of Air fryer, toaster ovens that I have seen! This is the first time I've seen one of your reviews, and I,m hooked.Thank you for helping me make my final choice !
Thanks for the great review. I've been looking to buy an air fryer and this is one that I've been eyeing. It's hard to get a sense of how good it is just from reading most user reviews especially when wondering how it compares to others. I like that you have experience with lots of other ovens to compare it to and you give the pros and cons of it compared to the others. Thanks for the great video, you've really helped my decision making on whether or not to buy this. I think I will.
Great review, I guess one big takeaway is that you wouldn't be able to follow the times/temps in recipes because the internal temperature gauge is probably not accurate (reads too low) and so if instructed to cook say salmon at 425 for 12 min--you'd have to adjust the temp down or reduce the time--and that would be frustrating to me to not just be able to 'do as instructed' or get a bad result. Enjoyed the thorough review though, thank you.
Excellent review. Just purchased a TOA-65 your review confirmed what I observed in it's operation. I subscribed to your channel to see what you have done with your Cuisinart. Thanks for sharing.
Great review. I was surprised to see this one rank so high. I'd love to see what your opinion of the Breville Smart Oven Air is after 30 days for sure.
Thank you. The Breville Smart Oven Air is not on the radar. Because there's plenty others of similar design that cost less and were already covered here
I was deciding between the Breville and Cuisinart. I was leaning toward the Breville after reading and watching videos from the old Cuisinart, but I decided on this one after this video. The price difference when you buy it at Cosco is quite a difference. Besides, look at the bad reviews about the Breville. You can read some in Amazon. They’re quite alarming. It’s too expensive to get fuses going out and the door busting. It might not happen to you, but it’s a risk. I felt after this video that I won’t be missing out with this oven.
So glad that I listened to this review. I wanted a toaster oven with airfrying skills. I care more about my toast and reheating functions. You just save me $$$.
Thank you thank you for ALL of your hard work on these videos! The tips & tricks are awesome!! 🙌 New subbie here! 🥳 Keep up the great thorough reviews!!
No I don't think the older model does proof for dough. The TOA-60 has less features. Here's the TOA-65; doing proof and bake. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0gsJGFr2zds.html
Would appreciate your usual in depth review of the new COSORI Air Fryer Toaster Oven, 32 QT,1800W Hot Convection Oven,Toast,Bake,Pizza, Rotisserie, Food Dehydrator & Keep Warm.
Sorry, but there are far more cookers than I could cover at the moment. 🙂 Unless it's a really hot seller or from a really major brand, there are many cookers that just don't give the ROI to justify coverage 🤷🏿♂️.
You do great videos, thank you. Very informative and non biased. I'd like a comparison between the Cuisinart TOA-65 and their Chef's convection toaster oven air fryer.
Just wanted to say thank you for your review and comparisons. I agree with and appreciated your comments on Cuisinart's thoughtfulness that they put in their products/manuals/naming their products. I have had great luck with this brand. I'm still deciding, but am very close to ordering the bigger model Cuisinart TOB-260N1 Chef's Convection Toaster Oven as I would like to be able to put a 9" X 13" baking pan in the oven for cakes and broiling the tops of casaroles, etc. I have been researching the dimensions of a bunch of different air fryers/convection ovens and seriously, why do they make this important info so hard to find...they tell you how many pieces of toast it holds or what size pizza...that doesn't tell me if it holds my particular size of baking pan, give me exact measurements!!! From what I can gather, I believe the INSIDE measurements are 14.25" wide, 13.25" deep, and about 6" high between heating elements. (Maybe you should get one for your pizzas and get rid of your smaller one AND the NuWave!) It is also half the price of the Breville BOV900BSS, and comes with a 3 year warranty. I also considered the Hamilton Beach Pro Countertop Toaster Oven model 31240 (currently $159.99) as I have also had great experiences with this brand and am currently using one of their toaster ovens to make my daily toast, which comes out beautifully. But for only $40 more, the Cuisinart has more functions and better dimensions for my needs. My only worry is the toasting function. I toast up French bread every day for breakfast and don't want a seperate appliance sitting on my counter just for that. The Breville sounds like it toasts the top of the bread, but not the bottom at all. You said the Cuisinart you have in this video doesn't toast well, but another you tuber showed it working well for her...hmm... I'm HOPING the Cuisinart TOB-260N1 Chefs Convection Toaster will work for me in this regard as it sounds perfect for all my other needs. After all, they put "Toaster" in the name, right?! ;) Thanks again, and I hope the information I provided will help someone else out there with their decision!
Far as the _Cuisinart Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven_ toasting, see: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zc8f8lNaOsQ.html Get rid of my NuWave? You surely jest! No way, I use the Nuwave Primo and it's top notch. You can't put a 30 pound turkey in any of those toaster ovens. See: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sO4RiIzb4G4.html
Thank you for giving us a detailed, informative and honest reviews on all these ovens. I do have one request. There's a very important detail that is hardly ever addressed. That is, 'is the product ptfe & pfoa free.' Some may be stainless steel but can have teflon pans. Those chemicals are released into the air and are highly toxic. Some argue that the temperature has to be over 500° but that's not true and if you have pet birds/parrots, an air fryer with teflon or ptfe /pfoa will quickly kill them! Obviously its toxic to people as well. As far as i know, Ninja is the only one who advertises PTFE & PFOA Free I've noticed many people who do reviews on sites like Amazon have asked about teflon, ptfe & pfoa. I wish it were posted on the boxes and that you could consider adding it to your reviews. again, thanks for all of your reviews.
Bought it!! Thanks to your videos, its a done deal... I am still hearing that the Breville 860 and 900 may be better... I’m hoping you review it before my return time comes so I can exchange if I need to. LOL! Thanks! Great job!
@Victoria Hi I am also in dilemma right now which air fryer plus oven to buy so as you are using from one month which onr will you suggest CUISINART OR BREVILLE?? both have few drawbacks.
You're welcome, enjoy and there are many cooking videos using it in this playlist. *Cuisinart Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven Cooking* ru-vid.com/group/PLdwaKyfn2J3pryx5yGhnoGlY45hzzKeRf
Thanks for your in-depth review. I want an air fryer that doesn't just sit on my counter and not do other things. I think this sounds like the one for me. It's been about 9 months since your review. Are you still liking it?
Awesome reviews... thank you. Perhaps consider giving a review on the Ninja Food Digital Air Fry Oven? I think it is worth considering and VERY impressive for what dimensions it handles. I think this unit EVENLY bakes/cooks better than nearly any unit on the market... 6 heating elements (3 top and 3 bottom)... Air Fry is amazing... the main reason I even got into cooking with these smaller units (air fry). In my mid 30's, never liked baking and standing around the stove... I like to set and forget... air frying does that for me... prep... I don't mind it... just don't want to be sitting, turning, checking, babysitting, and standing at the stove constantly... My spouse constantly freezes a bunch of foods and I wouldn't eat them because I couldn't microwave and the microwave just takes takes too long. Air Fry, gives a crisp taste, and eliminates the nasty freezer-burn flavors.
@@WaveOvenRecipes Awesome... checking it out now. Perhaps take a look at the indoor grill by Shark? I'm not a big fan of pressure cookers. I did notice at 22:50 you said the oven is too slim. Well, I agree. However, it cooks great if you hit the dimensions (what you mentioned with your cuisine art digital air fryer cooker). I was tempted but didn't like the inconsistent heating... I understand your argument for being too limited.
@@WaveOvenRecipes Thanks for taking the time to explain why you didn't cover Ninja. Quality is great, dimensions, lacking if it doesn't meet your needs :-)
How does this air fryer compare to the Cuisinart Chef's Toaster Oven? I believe it used to be your favorite. They appear to be very similar, just different form factors.
Good morning Darnell. I have been researching cookers for a couple months. I’ve settled on this unit or the ninja. I know you have used both quite a bit, which one would you suggest? I appreciate the time sir. Have a blessed day!
I feel you should pick what you prefer and make the judgement yourself. I have no desire to decide for someone else's house. My latest take is below, but I really don't like being on the spot to persuade anyone. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ESaIndFmImk.html
Anything I found regarding that is in the initial review: Cuisinart Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven TOA-65: ru-vid.com/group/PLdwaKyfn2J3oNA4RQVml2Mk5S5R4_GNCT If not there, I do not know.
Hello Darnel.. thank you for the reviews .. I ending up buying the TOA-65.. not used it fully yet but I did a small 10min airfry with nothing in it to see if it turned on.. Can you answer 2 questions please? 1: There are 4 heating elements on top , do you notice all four of them turn red or just the outer 2 and not the middle 2? If the middle 2 turn red also how long does that take and the function being used? 2: Some reviews have stated that it gets hotter than what's stated and it's easy to burn food on the outside while the inside still not fully cooked, what's been your experience so far? (Mainly frozen items I read) Thank you for any response and looking forward to more cuisinart reviews!
Cool! I don't bother with whether a heating element is "red". I just care if my food was cooked. So I don't check or care over some visible indication. It just better cook my food cause I am hungry 😂. I have made several cook videos that answer how it cooks. Please see them. Thanks for the response... much appreciated.. I'm new to airfrying and was just concerned if my unit is functioning properly because I didn't see the inner 2 top elements turn red when doing the 10 min test run. My last oven was a cuisinart toaster convection that still works great but I wanted the air fryer capabilities.. I have watched most of your videos and been going back and reading all the comments.. from what I gather the recommended timing for many items is inaccurate because of temperature. Thanks again for the response. Blessings to you
Do you have any experience with the Cuisinart TOA-95? I like the larger size of the TOA-95, but not if it’s slower, louder, or needs to preheat compared to the TOA-65..
I'm having a hard time finding information on how tall and how wide it is. When I search, I get a variety of answers. Trying to make sure it will not take up too much counter space and fit under my cabinets.
I recently bought this. Tried it today with fingerling potatoes. Cooked them very well. The problem/question I have is that when the timer went off and I turned it off, the fan kept running. After several minutes I had to unplug it to get the fan to stop. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
I noticed most air fryer/ovens do not mention clean ups of baskets and racks. My concern is the ability to have them cleaned in the dishwasher. Most wire racks, drums, and baskets will discolor due to the finish wearing off. Ninja Foodi can put rack and basket in DW. Reading up on most air/ovens I noticed most emit smoke ...some more than others. If reviews and mfg. TV adds were more thorough there would be less returns. The price of an item reflectd all variables ..marketing, returns, shipping, etc There is no such thing as free shipping...it is calculated in the price. Remamber the tire adds...buy 3 tires..get the 4th one free?
Actually if you buy in store the price is the same. So, the shipping really is free 🙂. I have not had discoloration issues with air fryer baskets put in the dishwasher. But keep watching my channel. I always mention any issues/concerns if any come up.
Use this as a reference. I have none for you doing both at once in yours, but you will need to do similar. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p5kANkC-8Do.html

I've baked some canned biscuits. The can says 400 for 8 minutes. I've had to adjust that down to 350 for 6 minutes and the middle of the biscuit is still a bit undercooked. Any suggestions?
Anybody knows how this Cuisinart (or the cheaper analog model TOA-60) compared to Farberware Air Fryer Toaster Oven? Farberware is about half the price, and it has digital timer. Thanks
@@WaveOvenRecipes after the time of Cook ends mine still with hot air.... And you can listen the oven like if didnt finish..... Is new just 3 days with it.... I bought it at bestbuy
DO NOT BUY. Our rotary switch broke after 1 year and now we are finding online reviews are full of similar problems with other owners. We have yet to hear back from the Cuisinart warranty department.
Maybe the new redesigned model is not built like mine. As you see I got mine earlier than the new adjusted model. Never an issue with a Cuisinart, but I hope they take care of you. Never has a cooker been made that is free of some issues occuring.
Great video, thank you very much. What are the differences between the TOA-65 and the TOA-60?. Finally, are there concerns about the unit itself heating up causing danger to countertops?
I never used the older model, but the spec for each shows the newer model I demonstrate has more features. I always use a heat resistant countertop surface with any countertop cooker.
