thanks bro, trying right now, my support are as strong as the print subject at the moment, so frustrating thanks for the tips on the interface and the preview checks are awesome, i never knew about that.

I've typically increased support z distance and had decent results with ease of removing supports but I'm definitely checking this out now. Thanks!

What do you normally set it to? I have my at the default of 0.1 and it's sticking bad to the model. Would .3 be okay?

Nice video! Really helped me a lot with removing supports on smaller prints.

I'm having the opposite problem. My head has sharp, pointy teeth and the supports aren't reaching some of them. Maybe I need more interface instead of less.

I started my first print with interface turned on. Running line support at 20%. Will it still help out? And is that a good line density?

How do I remove the yellow lines? It won't let me print hollow parts

have you had an issue where while printing with lot of support and hear crackling noise from nozzle hitting support when traveling? some strange reason i've been having that issue.
@Technivorous
@Technivorous 2 года назад
Ther is a settibg that allows you to avoid the supports. Its paths around parts that are already printed, so it adds print time. But its worth it.

Thank You I am going to try on my next print. My automatic supports in cura 5.0 just weld themselves to the print. Absolutly no way to remove them. So I have been using manual supports which works ok but still not great. One print using cura 4.x and the supports removed very easily. Have be stuggleing with Cura 5.x. I was hoping that I could go back to using Auto supports. Much easier than the time it take to add supports Manually.

Thanks a lot. In Cura, which infill pattern do you think makes the body stronger?

The major problem with removing support I am having is when the support is in a hole for a bolt...any suggestions?
@Technivorous
@Technivorous 2 года назад
Get a good grip with some needle nose and instead of pulling, turn it. It should seperater at the interface which is the weakest. Otherwise, get a slightly smaller drill bit than the hole, and tap it out

hi, every time i put support on a big flat surface it make me big ruff layer line, i tried to do floor and top draft support if it might help but finally no
@Technivorous
@Technivorous Год назад
Do a raft for adhesion instead of brim or skirt. That will give it something to print on. Also, check the support roof, and support interface... Turn the roof on, and increase the interface distance by .04 until you achieve the desired results!

Hey bro what's up not to bother you but I got a 3D printer and trying to rip off these supports but cutting my hands up like I'm watching your video trying to figure things out it's complicated for me to understand maybe not for others but what I'm just trying to understand is doing all of the correct settings so everything could be just right

Absolutely terrible, just wasted an 11 hour print using your settings...the supports had a better hold than the actual print i wanted to keep. I suppose that's what i get for listening to people who think they know better.

Why not use a different filament for the support part? Like VXL, PVA or similar?
@Technivorous
@Technivorous 2 года назад
If you have a dual extrude, dissovable support is optimal!
@joshtherussian9261
@joshtherussian9261 2 года назад
@@Technivorous Not even - You can manually switch if really needed, but it isn't that easy tbh.
@float32
@float32 Год назад
@@joshtherussian9261 I don’t think I’ve ever printed anything with less than a few hundred layers. I think for a rational person, multi filament without dual extruder is not worth it. Just spend the money on a cheap dual head printer. Don’t be a machine. Your time is worth more than that.
