MODERN HEAT TRAINING Natural Hair!
Hey everyone, stopping by to showcase my Curl Pattern Update for Summer 2022.
Jeremiah 32:38-39 NKJV
They will be my people, and I will be their God.
I will give them singleness of heart and action,
so that they will always fear me and that all will then
go well for them and for their children after them.
There's usual a stigma when others hear that "you are heat training your natural hair." There are various ways / techniques to heat training (loosen up my curls from 4b to 3b/3c). With various ways comes various results. You have to find and match yourself with whatever fits you and whichever method will get you the hair and length you desire.
With the help of Jehovah Jireh, I was able to achieve a gradient looser curl pattern without chemicals. That's exactly what I desired and wanted others to know that it's possible for them to achieve it too from the comfort of their homes. Glory be to God! Remember y'all when it comes to heat training, it will always appear on a spectrum.
Many who desire to heat train their hair and want their curls / afro textured hair intact (healthy & growing), this method will be greatly appreciated and valued by you. Remember things can be tweaked or adjusted to fit your needs. Stay encouraged, your hair goals can be achieved because Jesus is by your side!
Thank You for tuning in to @DynamicTouch ! Hope you enjoy!

Thank you! I feel happy because I am now in year three of being a heat-trained natural and it took me a long time to find a system that would work for my hair. Are you also a heat-trained natural as well? Thanks for watching and stopping by our channel!

Wow, so I just randomly discoverd that my last silk press (not that silk actually) didn’t damaged but heat trained my hair. Well good news my hair isn’t damaged (my curls are still poppin), less good news, I loved my 4b hair, now it looks more like 4a-3c. :(

Yes! it is a nightmare if you are trying the preserve your curls! I am sorry it happened to you! This is why we need more hairstylists who can flat iron natural hair without ruining the curl pattern! I know a lot of naturals who stay away from flat irons altogether and just buy a wig if they want to rock straight hair. Thanks for stopping by, for commenting, and for watching!

I silk press and then do heatless curls. I don't like wrapping. I use sponge rollers or pin curls and they come out BOMB everyday for like 2 weeks or so until I wash or get lazy

This is a very good routine to have. A lot of the time, many people only focus on how glamorous our press looks initially. It's a good thing that you have a long-term game plan. Thanks for commenting!

As of now, I am officially in my third year of being a heat-trained natural. I started noticing changes at the end of my first year. At that time, I would flat iron my hair once a month. Now, it's only my roots that revert. Heat training is different for everyone though. I have seen girls with waist-length hair who flat iron their hair once every two weeks (professionally and at home) and their hair stays straight within months of starting. Some just choose to go and get a keratin treatment. It all depends on what you're comfortable with. Thanks for watching and for commenting!

Spray a little dry shampoo on your paddle brush and wrap it or flexirod set. My favorite is flexirod set!

What do you do on rainy days? And humidity ? And just summer time in general with the sweating and humidity in the air LOL
@DynamicTouch
@DynamicTouch Год назад
I am now in year three of heat training, so my hair doesn't revert as it used to when I just started. A lot of people do not talk about this, but due to the fact that I have been wearing my hair straight for a long time, my hair does not revert as it would if my hair was worn mostly in its natural state. I make sure to keep my hair up after showering, in rain, in humidity, and during the summer in general to avoid reversion of my roots. I also use a workout band to workout.

Making the hair easier to flat iron over time. The heat eventually makes curls looser which makes the heat trained hair stay straighter longer and easier to manage

Heat training isn’t nothing new. They did it a few years back and there was arguments about how you are just purposely damaging your hair. I feel like it’s better to do than go back to relaxers 💯 I see people moving back to relaxers anyway so there is a shift. More and more videos of black women making videos complaining about the trials and tribulations of doing their hair. Of course it’s going to be hard when you are comparing it to having relaxed almost bone straight hair. Yes it takes time and patience to do our hair but our hair just needs attention and caring hands. But I do wish you and your sister the best with y’all program. Maybe it can stop some from relaxing their hair again 💯

Relaxers are not exactly good for your health in the long run and have been linked to cancer and other health issues. I mean hairdresser use protective gloves to put this chemicals in your hair! I would try anything else before I even think of relaxers!

I'm a type 4a/4b and am never going to heat train my hair years ago I used a cheap flat iron and damaged my hair I was so miserable I permed my hair and then had to grow it out took two years😞 I will NEVER do this again ever I'm staying natural doing my weekly wash and goes and deep conditioning

Soo you intentionally damage your hair? Girl… how does it look when DRY THO? 🥴
@DynamicTouch
@DynamicTouch 2 года назад
Hello! My hair is 80% dry in the videos/photos of me in the black top. I believe that you might be new to our channel, so I will just give you the gist of it. On our channel, we experiment with ways black women can grow long hair while obtaining the look and the styling of their choice. This includes wigs, weaves, braids, etc. 2 years ago, I began an experiment to show people that if they want to alter their curls, it can be done without harmful chemicals. As we all know, a lot of hair products marketed towards black women often lead to fertility issues, scalp issues, and worse case scenario, cancers. My main goal has never been to judge others on how they choose to style their hair, but to make room for healthy, heat conscious, length retaining haircare, that allows one to excel in their personal hair goals. We support black women 100% in making safe, effective, hair styling choices. Concerning how my hair looks when it is dry: My hair looks like any other 4 textured woman when dry: kinky-coily, product less, and undefined. A beautiful, undefined Afro. That is why we use wash and go products to help shape and define our curls. We also use braid outs and twist outs for these exact same reasons. It's never about how one's hair looks when it is dry, it's always about how you wish to wear your hair while heat training. My goal while heat training has always been versatility, while some only care to wear their hair one way, or care more about time conscious haircare. My question to you would be this: What are your personal hair expectations? Every heat trained natural has different ways of styling their hair, and different expectations when it comes to preserving their curl (the same can be said with any woman with natural hair, really). What would be your go-to hairstyle if you were a heat trained natural? Interested in learning about the heat training journey that I am documenting? Feel free to check out my playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLSMRYEyKi74gocIP6sAO-jrgwWBEc__Q7 Thanks for commenting, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Nah. Heat trained + harmful chemicals = damaged hair. If there's no harmful chemicals your good. 👍
@DynamicTouch
@DynamicTouch Год назад
I think it depends. I wear my hair straight for two months. Since my press lasts two months, my hair doesn't get pressed as often as other heat-trained naturals. There is no right or wrong way to be heat trained as long as you're not losing hair, so to each their own. Thanks for commenting and watching!

You really think God has time to be concerned with heat trained hair (or hair routines in general) when there are way more pressing matters to contend with?

Jesus cares about me and others. Jesus cares about my life and everything that entails day-to-day life. God is alive, present, and actively working in my life every day, every minute, every second. No limits to God's strength and capabilities! Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." Jeremiah 33:2-3 NKJV Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name): 3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ 1 John 5:14-15 NKJV "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."
