@@jithagoat what are you talking about. This man has numerous game winners against teams. He led his team to the nba finals and won with only 1 other all star.
Not Hollywood, not a sports beater, not another soul on the earth could have delivered this all-time classic quote. These three words in the context of the moment defeat rants like "we talking about practice," "Playoffs? playoffs?," and "The Bears are who we thought they were..."
I think when Steph feels the pressure he will tend to miss. The only times he makes clutch 3’s is when he doesn’t care about the outcome of the game lol. Max just meant Iguadala would probably take the shot more seriously and performs better under pressure
Who would you rather want someone who is gonna be so nervous they miss or someone calm cool and collected who gonna give his best effort and live with the result
@@A1thesaucegod In this scenario the whole Earth is going to be obliterated. A'int no one going to be calm in that situation. Give me the greatest shooter of all time thank you very much.
@@jasjfl Steph is a terrible last shot taker. Thats a fact. 0-12 in the playoffs when the game is on the line. I get he is the greatest shooter ever, but he is awful with the game on the line
The funniest part about this to me is that all she said was the game was on the line, he did not have to escalate the situation to say that the universe was going to end and that Martians had a damn lazer pointed at Earth, and even still under those conditions he drops this take with his WHOLE CHEST. Truly one of the sports takes of all time. 💀💀💀💀
It's right. Max says Curry is a better shooter, but of all the players that attempted 25+ shots in clutch time in 2021, Steph Curry was dead last at 25% FG and 19% from three. This isn't one of those stats like "Oh, so Kobe having a worse percentage than yadayada means yada is better than Kobe?" because these are stats focussed on the last 5 minutes of a game where the deficit is narrowed to 5 aka VERY specific conditions to mitigate volume contributing to a bad number. Curry just is not clutch. Iggy took most of GS's meaningful daggers, and Max isn't discrediting Curry's shooting to bring it there in the first place. It is a statistically correct, and probably one of the most aware takes by a sportscaster. Too bad it was shot down by dumb fans who don't watch games and just see articles of every regular season Curry game winner being reposted by houseofhighlights.
@d.m.c8013 100% lmao. I remember during this series when Max said that, I still can't forget the short silence that happened after he said Iguodala. Slowly everyone was like "What the fuck??", started howl laughing, and then you got me in the corner all quiet like "but he's right!". I still argue with my friends about this take 4 years later lmfao. (which is why I know the stat like the back of my hand)
@@yayvey that's why it's one of the greatest hot takes of all time. It was not only a masterpiece of a troll with perfect delivery, but it was also a backed up by actual data. ( Given the position of each player on the floor of course.)
@@yayvey I would counter that current Steph is slowly earning a clutch badge. He's physically much stronger than 2016, and knows he has no choice but carry more of the on-ball load, so he does what he has to.
Max: A.I. is the best pound for pound player we've ever seen Iguodala: true true Max: so you agree you're the best pound for pound to ever do it Iguodala: bro what??
This is just not true lmao, he's hit a ton of Playoff shots with less than 50 seconds lol. It's just the game winners he misses, he has multiple game tying shots and game tying and 1s with the Free Throw being the go ahead.
@@clover7726 yea that the point idiot, we are talking about game winning shots and it’s ironic that the best shooter in the NBA ever can’t get a game winning shot in the playoffs
@@enjordaneer7321 c'mon bro he was wrong, that shot curry took in game six wasn't wide open like the one iggy took in game 2. There's a major difference.
Yeah iguodala isn't forced to take a 30 footer while double or triple teamed to win the game and then called not clutch when you miss while being fouled 😂 let steph or klay sit there ans shoot literally open shots.
