So what’s the final assembly like? A y, some flowmeters, downstream regulator to balance the pressure before mixing? Any check valves. I’m thinking of making my own
It will work equally well so long as you use the correct flow rates to obtain the final mix percentage. With my specific Dakota meters, you can see that the CO2 metering capability is very small because I intended to use it with a straight CO2 tank, but with a different flow meter you can utilize a C25 tank (because you would need larger flow rates of C25 compared to straight CO2 for 90/10 or 92/8 final mix percentages). Hope that makes sense.
@@zod-engineering-welding I don't mind purchasing a pure c02 tank at all. I just don't want to end up with super high flow rates that I don't need wasting my gas. If you're running pure c02 and argon I'll do the same :). Can you provide an item list I need to purchase by chance?
@@zod-engineering-weldingmy email address is shelbygrinders@gmail.com. Had a lengthy conversation with Peter (Zila) today. Looking forward to my new pro pulse 220 arriving Thursday or Friday.
@@andycarpenter5561 the item list is extensive. I'm actually building one right now, as a fellow HTP user from the Carolinas has commissioned me to do so for him. He opt'ed for me to make him a special version with twin CO2 meters. One to handle low CO2 flowrates for pulsed-spray mixes, and one to handle larger CO2 flowrates so he can mix his own C25 for when he does dual shield flux core. Cost of total system shipped is $700 with twin CO2 meters. Slightly less for a single CO2 meter.
hi mate may i ask one thing about gas mixture argon and oxygen. i cant find in Indonesia gas 98:2 98 Argon 2% oxygen. the factory said we never do that. i wanna use the gas for stainless migging or carbon steel. so if i mix argon with 02 into gas mixture equipment like ibeda product or cheapy chinese(c02) gas mixture. how much cfh for 02? for 02 regulator which type do i have to use? thanks
oxygen regulators measure PSI, so you need a regulator that measures in CFH. To calculate individual flowrates, use the same numbers you mentioned, but not as percentages, use them as decimals. Say you want 20 CFH TOTAL of 98/2 Ar/O2. 20 * 0.98 = 19.6 CFH Argon. 20 * 0.02 = 0.4 CFH O2. Easy to calculate.
@@zod-engineering-welding many thanks for your help. finally there is someone who can explain. i went.to factory with my friend its really funny. they cant calculate the said this is our 1st time to mix argon.mix o2. Lol😀😀😀
