Enjoyed your video! It's great that someone your age sees the worth in an old van and has the emerging talent and desire to restore them. I've had my 1983 E-100 Shorty van since I bought it new. Before that I had an older car and truck that I worked on all the time. If you do a search on RU-vid for "Arnies Sweet Spot Van", you should find two videos of mine. Keep up the good work!
What an amazing find and great results with some hard work. From what I could see all the lines looked straight and that van was far from ready for retirement. Had me worried for a second when you were using the polisher without a mask but saw it wasn't producing dust. You only get one set of lungs so take good care of them young feller. You're right about the old gas smell, that's definitely one aroma you never forget.
I have a dad who has worked on them since he was 10, so he knows quite a bit. He tells me how to do things until I understand enough to work it safely, on my own.
