I agree 100%. I subscribed fairly recently because i only just saw them. I love seeing completely custom engines being built. This V10 they have built is my favourite one since the v12 those 2 aussie guys built out of 2 LS engines. If you want to see what im talking about, type LS V12 in the youtube search bar

when i put the 6.8 in my F100 bumpside, i didn't have the same space limitations as you are facing. i used crown vic motor mounts and reversed them to center the middle cylinder over the engine crossmember. worked perfectly. all the modular motor mounts will bolt up to the 6.8 as it has two sets of bosses cast into it and being able to reverse mounts was nice in my application. i did have to shorten the oil pan and pickup, when you do that run an inline oil tank to make up the difference. there are oil filter stands that you can use that have the oil line ports in them, i think i used a 4.6 truck style oil filter stand and only had to grind a little here & there to clear the front of the engine block. keep at it, i'm enjoying the progress! 👍

I think they may be able to get away with a low profile oil pan if the increase the size of the dropdown back to the recommended Litres. just widen it as much as you can, but idk if the room is there like you said, but they probably will do a custom oilpan/pickup so may as well make it wide as possible, but if they cant probably yeah slighty custom dry sump ish with just an oil res. but like you probably noticed is it would hit something way before it could hold enough fluid. smart idea tho! hard for me to see how much room is behind the subframe, and when its sitting on ground too. just seen honda engines use weird T shape pans with bafles when in a RWD config to clear the subframes. Ethier idea works but be cool to see what they end up doing with so little room.

Screw those original engine mounts! Build your own because that engine is waaaayyy too high lol. What a great project guys. Can’t tell you how many times I wanted to do what y’all did with the engine but just never went through with it. Mad props guys!! And the engine sounds F’kn BAD AZZ!!!

Whilst you've cut the trans tunnel out I recommend you put in some cross bracing temporarily to stop any flex of the body

These guys deserve more publicity but i have no doubt they will have a million subscribers fairly soon. The engine they have built is a masterpiece. I can not wait to see this project near its completion with the engine running in the car. Going to be epic!!!

This is one of the best auto builds on youtube right now. I hope you guys are able to get these heads and intake manufactured and sell kits. There are literally millions of these engines out there. I'm sure there would be a good market.

You made a substantial gain in the progress of this build!!! Hopefully you will finish it by the end of 2024. And with the successful completion of this build, you guys should sell engine swap kit plans for F-150's and Expedition SUV's, which you should have no problem selling. I've been wanting to swap a newer, more powerful engine (5.0 or 6.2) to my 2004 Expedition, which I know can be done but with all the electronics and sensors I will need help. And I know you guys could make it happen. Thanks for everything.

The decal on the coil covers were a nice touch. My Mach1 had the 32 valve decals but my SN95 cobra did not.

On your alternator problem; you have an IRS, so your pumpkin is pretty much immobile- install a modified pulley between the drive flange and the U joint and drive the alternator from back there. And loose the alt mount remaining- you still need every bit of space you can find up front. Looks like most of the new engine is to the rear- hopefully the forward part will not be as tough as the firewall. I think I can see a sheet metal learning curve as big as the engine build form rebuilding the tunnel and new firewall; but you are the guys for that!

This is really cool to see. I hope that when you guys finish this build you sell those head parts as a kit. We rebuild a lot of these engines for a popular rental truck company. We rebuild them with H-beam rods cause it reduces the failure rate from oil starvation usually caused by not having enough oil. If only people knew how many of these engines are out there...

Does that just let the rods hold up long enough for the engine to lockup without breaking at the small end and ventilating the block?

The Mark VIIIs have the alternator in the middle of the the valley but doesn't look like much room there. I have heard of people flipping the alternator backwards which would allow you to put it where ever you want. Keep up the good work.

Guys, you know thiers a shitload of these tritons in the wrecking yards, ...make some more intakes, and have the heads poured as a cast, ...and you guys could create a whole new market. A bolt on upgrade. I wanted ford to do this years ago, but yall beat em to the punch. Keep it up, wanna see the final product. This was on another level guys, badass!

Digging the clearance where you didn’t have to cut up front, looks like a grueling amount of trial and error but I’m enjoying the process. You guys will figure out that alternator worst comes to worst flip it 180° and have it hang it’s ass out the front of the motor itl spin either way, Merry Christmas!

Yup I was gonna suggest that. Flip it 180 so the pulley is facing the aft of the car. Can probably make some simple mount adapters that come off the nice billet mount they have, extending them forward of the engine and just have the alternator on the inboard side of them. Will have to figure out the new shorter belt length but thats nothing that hasnt been done before and they probably wouldve had to do anyway..

One solution for the alternator, is mounting it to the tailshaft at the rear underside of the car, how Ryan Tuerck mounted one with his Judd V10 Supra build.

for the alternator mount you can use the reverse mount alternator bracket that use PBH(Powerbythehour) on swapped coyote old mustangs like the new edge , do a little research on that , keep the good work, you guys are killing it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Keep in mind the alternator will produce power when spun in either direction. You guys can flip the rear of the alternator to the radiator and still package it into the bay.

Hey, the alternator will work regardless of which way it spins. I've been racing a boat for years with one spinning the "wrong way" with zero issues. So, spin it around 180 and run it facing the other way.

Beautiful build. Please be careful with the exhausts radiant heat. That's not much clearance even if you install a heat shield. Unless your plan is 2.5" exhaust and the 3" was for the purpose of adding said clearance. Great work.
