Looks very nice Kenneth, Thanks for your review. I think some of these 3d print designers must imagine our models are delivered on a floating silk lined cloud? I recently got damaged parts from KA, they quickly sent replacements, but guess what, yep, the replacements got damaged too!! Gaspatch models know how to package a 3d printed kit!!

Just caught your video on the new Ford Class carrier model. Although I am not a fan of 3D printing, this looks like an impressive model. I especially like that the decal sheet has the numbers for all proposed Ford Class carriers to date besides the Gerald R. Ford - CVN-79-John F. Kennedy; CVN-80 Enterprise and CVN-81-Doris Miller. So anyone wanting a model of the new USS Enterprise now under construction can simply purchase this model kit. Looking forward to seeing this model take shape,
Hi Walter. I have to say that I share your skepticism when it comes to 3D printed models, but then again, as you say, this looks like it can be a fantastic model. They have indeed included numbers for all Ford class carriers, so if you want to model the Enterprise you can definitley do so.
You are entering into yet another dimension in modeling. Good luck to you. Seems to me that releasing and repairing resin parts will be your biggest challenge.😉
I am for sure, I have never built a ship only made of resin. So venturing into unknown territory. Actually it looks like I have been lucky, most of the damage is on the supports. Thank you!
Also very interested in this kit, it looks like a massive job but worthwhile. I have been in contact with the supplier a few times and are very helpful. However for me it will cost AUD $1,500.00 includes 1 complete airwing and shipping. Shipping being the most expensive part. Thanks for the review.
They have usually been quite quick to reply, and always polite and helpful. It is an expensive kit for sure, but I think it will be worth it. Shipping has increased a lot the last couple of years from the US and Canada.
I'm curious how this builds up. I've had my eye on this one since it was announced. I'd like to build it as CVN-80 Enterprise to go with the CV-6 that I'm currently working on.
@@evilgenius66 As you might have seen the two main hull parts will require some work. The other parts is hard to say anything about at this point in time. Some sanding and seam filling is part of all builds, but I get what you mean. Let's see later when I get started on it.
ANOTHER carrier Kenneth! I need a change so am just finishing off a Catalina flying boat and a STAR WARS Star Destroyer. Normal battleship service will be resumed soon-ish 😂😂😂
Yeah, I am weak when it comes to carriers 😳🤩😂 I have another non-ship project going on as well, but more on that later 😉 Great to have different types of projects 😁

Wow, 3d is the way forward re detail parts but perhaps not the whole model? No moulds etc to be made, i really can seethe advantages but need some convincing. Whicj is basically a very long winded way of saying can you make Iit please Kenneth. BTW oh the colour of that hull!
I kind of agree, but let’s see what I think after I have started on it. Maybe I will like it or not 🤷♂️ I will build it for sure, but if it is my next build or not…. 😂Yeah that color is something else 😉
Looks interesting, but something i will never build, i do not like the lack of construction. I only enjoy injection models, all those beautiful parts you have to assemble. I will be interested to see how it turns out, thought, after the USS Essex LPD build 😊
That would be my main objection to 3D printed models as well, but I wanted a CVN-78 in my collection, so this is the only one in 1/350 scale as far as I have seen. I am definitley not going for 1/700. So you would like me to build the LHD-2 first?

You can decide which air wing you want in addition, so it is kind of included if you want. They give you a 50% discount on the ordinary aircraft prices.

Hehe, kanskje jeg burde det. Jeg har nok en forkjærlighet for hangarskip, men liker helt klart andre objekter også. Jeg har begynt på et av flyene som et sideprosjekt. Det kommer sikkert en video om det om ikke så lenge ;-)
It is a very good model, but is very expensive, and does not come with any aircraft or deck vehicles...for a lower price, you can buy a Nimitz and modify with 3D parts, which is much cheaper.
It is expensive, around $900 with the air wing and deck vehicles. But then again, if you buy a kit a need lots of readymade 3D printed parts that will be quite expensive as well.
