Just watched your Tissington trail video. Pity you didn't jydt pop into village of Tissington. Beautiful village with pond & very nice popular cafe. With many seats outdoor on grass. Next door to Tissington Hall Been on that trail numerous times. As I had a caravan on seasonal pitch in biggin nr Hartington for over 10yrs. As my wife died in 2021, I changed and bought Campervan. But had loads of good memories of different cycling routes around there. A nice circular one is fro. Parsley Hay. Down Tissington trail as far as biggin bridge. Come off there & turn left up Rd for 200yds to A515 Straight over onto ncn route up hill & down vere left to high peak trail. Then left back towards parsley Hay.

Yeah, the village is nice, there is a café on the trail next to where you would turn off to the village, or optionally towards Carsington water, nice ford that way as well. 🚴 Steve

Yep I really like the video but struggled to hear the commentary over the music. Which is a shame because what I could hear of the commentary sounded really interested.

Enjoyed the vid. I rode the trail from Ashbourne to Parsley Hay return back in 2008. It is a great ride. I was lucky to have a sunny October day but with a head wind on the Ashbourne to Parsley Hay leg, but the trip back was fantastic.

Thanks for the feedback, it's always a route we like to repeat and we try and ride it once or twice per year. The weather or wind variations make it an interesting outing every time :)

My favourite trail ride in the UK did it in 2008 and will do it again, along with the High Peak Trail, this year. Thanks for uploading.

Thank's Mick, it's one we really like to get in a couple of times per year, we almost rode it again last weekend, but the weather was pretty bad, with winds up to 45mph, so we decided to push it forward a few weeks to Good Friday. - Steve

The dip at 13.00, with the gates to slow down cyclists, is the site of a demolished viaduct over the river.

Apologies for that +ian McKenzie, it has been mentioned before, when I played back the video through my headset it did sound more distinct however, it did not sound as good once it had been uploaded. Steve

Very helpful and informative but the presentation is marred by the repetitive and tedious music which spoils the commentary.

Start at Ashbourne, go north right to the end and then its DOWNHILL mainly all the way back!

+Zeus Canine It can be, although this time of year and up to around March is it's quietest time. It is never quite as busy as the Monsal trail so give it a go. Steve
