Could you explain in better detail where the detent springs are located? lol i only see the one that you have in the video, but can't find the other 2. I'm running an S40 trans
Let me start by saying that great video definitely going to look for those springs. In another note that is the wrong turbo for low compression d16. For comparison my d16 creates 10 psi where yours creates only 2. Trust me I tell you the right turbo with more psi is alot better than a big turbo that lags all the way to 5k. Lmk if you are interested maybe I can give you some advice
Oh i completely understand, I had a smaller turbo before that I could easily build 6-8psi from a dig. I just feel like for the power level im chasing I need a larger turbo. At 19psi this China gt35 is supposed to put near 300whp. One day I'll get a legit turbo that will be more efficient but for now I'm doing the best with what I have
I'm making around 320 with my at 17 psi. Running with another ek making 340 and keeping next to him until 130. Question are you running boost by gear? Do you if hts support it? What modification does the ECU needs. I'm running the same setup as yours p28 with demon 2 board.
I’m doing this upgrade right now, but I can’t find the spring location for 3-4 or 5-R. Anyone know what’s up? Update: I found them. They’re under the passenger motor mount bracket
Guys why spend $20-$30 bucks when you can literally do this spring detent mod for FREE $99! Pull one of your shift detent springs out measure the length and diameter, re-install. Now drive your happy cheap ass's down to your local mcklendons hardware or ace hardware store and go find where all the nuts and bolts are, there you will find two or three drawers with different springs. Take your measurements and either find a identically spring to which you measured BUT choose one that is a wee bit stiffer OR just pick one that's ruffly around a quarter inch to three eighths of an inch longer than oem. Now put in pocket and walk out. Either pop hood and install right there in the parking lot or do it at home that's it hour done and it free! Fuck speed factory and their insane prices for most all of their stuff.
