For those who asking, I didn't resolve this issue. What I did is I always lube the top ball bearing in order to reduced the clunking noise. D2 didn't provide me the correct lubricant so I ended up using bicycle lube. But as far as the performance, this coilovers are doing great. I have it for over 3 years now and no problem.
Do you see the purple damper nob it's the bolt right under that one that's a little loose 🔩 in order for you to tighten it you need your coilover spaner rench and some one needs to hold it while you tighten the top bolt
I have a similar clunk coming from the D2 Coilovers I just installed last week. I have a Kia Optima. It’s coming from the right front coilover. I will be working on it tomorrow to try to figure it out. I’ll let you know how I fix it.
