Nice looking rifle. I have a 2202 with the black, plastic stock. If you want to lighten the trigger pull, you can actually take the trigger mechanism apart and replace the trigger spring with a spring from a pen. I did that on mine, and trigger pull is significantly lighter, but still strong enough so the rifle doesn't accidentally fire. I remember reading that you could get a smoothbore barrel for this, but I have never seen one.

Thanks for the tip!! Wow smoothbore, that's interesting! What would be the purpose of smoothbore, I'm assuming to be able to shoot 'shot'?

@@HangInThereCat Yes, to specifically shoot shot rounds and have a nice pattern. If you shoot shot rounds out of a rifled barrel, you start getting a ring shapped pattern out of the pellets.

I have one of these and I have spoken to someone who worked for daisy and built these rifles. The barrels were built by Beretta.

Thanks ET! Definitely love the look! Got mine for sub $200's 😀. I've seen some of the single shot plastic models for under $200 on GB and local forums. Very fun rifle!

daisy did infact change the model designation on the recievers theres videos here on youtube where you can clearly see the different model designations the video is from 8years ago btw

Anyone in the comments know where to get a rear sight for one of these? Daisy doesn't support the rifle and Numrich arms doesn't have any.

@@HangInThereCat Thank you. I'm sure that that sight came from another more common rifle. Question is which one? I already gifted the rifle to a nephew with an appropriate scope included but would really like to find a rear sight for him. Merry Christmas to you as well. I hope that the coming New Year will be better for everyone reading this than the last year has been.

@@gregsmith5695 I believe the rear sight is propietary to the Daisy Legacy 22LR line, mainly the 2201/2202/2203 and their wood stock variants. Check eBay, Mercari, Gunbroker and DaisyMusem Forums. I am looking out, and will let you know if I find one! Yes 2024 can't come soon enough! HNY!

I think I have a solution to your missing rear sight. Remington rifles and slug guns have a rear sight of similar design. I compared my 2212 with a Remington sight. The Remington sight base slides onto the Daisy ramp with no problems. So the only question is that is there enough elevation. And I think there is. It’s close enough to the Daisy sight that no one would probably know the difference.

@@paulbeck6410 Thank you Paul. Now I have a good lead and direction. I never had the cash to roll the dice on buying sights on speculation that they may fit. This really helped and I will report back on how it worked out. The rifle is in the hands of my great nephew now. It would be great to gift him with an iron sight that fits.
