This was one of the best picks of the first round. Kincaid is an absolutely perfect fit with the Bills offense and will make life super easy for Allen in a myriad of ways. There were only a few teams who did a good job drafting the first round this year, and Buffalo was one of them. It was a very strange first round, with lots of guys being picked too early or going to the wrong kind of team. The Bills and Giants were among the few teams who got it right.
This is what a first round tight end is supposed to look like. Look at the lateral cut at the end of the play @, 3:55. Look at how smooth and instant it is. That’s how a first round tight end should move. The cut on the very next play @4:04 is even better: look at how loose those hips are! That’s an outstanding athlete. Look at the toughness on display, bad shoulder and all, @ 5:01. And then on the next play @ 5:07 knowing he’s going to take a big shot (or two). That’s what you need at that position. That’s a non-negotiable. Watch him lower the shoulder and finish this run @ 5:32. That’s the mentality you need at the position. That’s what Kittle does on Sundays. Look at this contact balance @ 6:16. Again, that’s Kittle. A player with this kind of contact balance and explosiveness is a big play waiting to happen. I don’t know if he’s quite as explosive as Kittle but he isn’t too far behind. I think the one thing Mayer has on him is size. Musgrave is probably faster in a straight line but is not nearly as loose-hipped, twitchy or physical. Washington is a complete unicorn in terms of that size and blocking ability. Guy’s like a pass catching offensive tackle. So he’s such a unique player that I could understand a team taking him before Kincaid if you have a very specific vision of him in your offense. There’s also two potentially very high level guys that are really being slept on. And I’m not talking about the small schooler Tucker Kraft. Any guesses?
Great analysis, I firmly believe Kincaid will go top-25 this year. I think he's the best pass catcher in the draft, could see him going as high as 21 to the Chargers. In regard to your sleepers, I'm gonna guess Sam LaPorta and Josh Whyle or Davis Allen.
Sam Laporta of Iowa is definitely a day 2 TE. Iowa had an abysmal offense and their QB wasn’t good but Sam made the most of his opportunities. Good hands, contact balance, toughness. Kincaid is a little more dynamic but Laporta is a legit TE prospect.
He is a bigger, stonger version of Cole Beasley that loves to let it rip after the catch. Josh Allen is going love this kid. He will be Allen's favorite target in his second season, if not sooner.
Agreed . Dalton is a massive slot back . Can play TE WR SB FB , even OL if needed . He can be the next Taysom Hill . Yea I know people are gonna laugh . F you anyway . Coach Witt coaches up Great players and humans .
I'd say you're onto something. I bet his second year is phenomenal. He's already showing flashes of the greatness that is to come. I really think the Bills just need to figure out ways to get him legitimately involved in the offense, which is gonna take a little bit of time and effort, but the dividends..... 👌😉
Dalton seems almost invisible in D1 football . The Bills figured out his potential in NFL . Josh Allen being qb , it’s scary to imagine how many records to be written . I’m betting my home on it .
If Kincaid balls out in year 1 on the Bills, that factor alone means no more double teams on Diggs. Which will be a big problem for all opposing defenses. I know a lot of people been sayin it’s a big “if” because it’s rare for tight ends to make a big impact in their rookie year, but Kincaid is not the mid-grade tryhard that the average TE is. He’s DALTON F***** KINCAID. The Kincaidinator. And he has Madden King Josh Allen slinging to him. Naw mean?
Knox is out now and Kincaid got his first career touchdown yesterday to go along with 5 receptions in the game and 30 for the season through seven games. Looks like the Bills will be leaning on him now.
Only TE I've seen in a fairly strong draft that has Kelce-type receiving potential. Varying speed in his routes, sitting down in soft spots in the zone, spinning away from contact, catching naturally with his hands. Don't think he'll make it to pick #31, but would love the Chiefs to draft him as heir apparent and understudy to Kelce.
Yea him and Mayer both look like they have alot of potential, Mayer seems like a bit of a better route runner in the slot TE seems like more of a Kelce to me, Kincaid reminds me more of a Jimmy Graham, Jason Witten type whos just gonna catch everything in their path
@@hitorinolegend8373 Mayer is a lot closer to a pat friermuth or Dawson Knox than Kelce. Kelce is a fast twitched up move TE, Mayer is more traditional
@@rashan2424 Kelce road the bench for a year, but I imagine - with the NFL game having opened up more since then and even more rules friendly to offense - that Kincaid plays a more significant role his first year.
I think Travis Kelsey is overrated. He's always wide open and that scheme. A little bit of route running yeah but he's just sitting there waiting on most of his catches look at it
@@patrickbrewer8189 LOL you obviously don't watch the Chiefs every week. He is the smartest non quarterback to probably ever play for the Chiefs. He leads the team like a quarterback, he even orchestrates the offense often times. Many of the biggest plays we have had have been because Kelce saw something and made a call. He is obsessed with tape too. He grinds film like a QB. He also runs his routes differently than almost any player ever. He has numerous traits unique to him like how he uses his shoulders in his route running and to set up his YAC. If it was just the scheme, then Andy would have had a tight end put up these kinds of numbers before, but he hasn't. Also, if it was just the scheme, then Andy would be scheming up Noah gray to dominate also, so we would have 2 dominant TE's. But Noah can't do half of what Kelce can do. Kelce is the greatest receiving tight end of all time. I have seen this man 1 on 1 n man coverage vs Jalen Ramsey and absolutely destroy him with nasty route running. No tight end ever is demolishing an elite corner with their route running like that. Except for Travis Kelce.
@@patrickbrewer8189 you don't watch football or the chiefs. Derwin James, Darius Slay, a lot of today's beat defensive backs say even if Kelce is doubled you can't stop him they have both said this.
I love this guy he's just a huge receiver… More than anything… Hopefully the Bears will take a look at him because I think he would be an excellent option since the receiver class isn't as spectacular.
With Kmet, I doubt they go that route. They need so much help on defense and could really beef up in a number of other places on offense. Kmet isn't a stud receiver, but he's good and a fine blocker. Arguably already a Top 10 TE in the NFL, all around.
@@G59mike they just came off THREE 13-3 seasons bud. They got rid of their number one WR.There two best oline men both came off ACLs and didn’t start actually playing well till week 14.Watson couldn’t stay healthy till that same week and Doubs was hurt AND GARY was out with an ACL.12 was throwing to 2 rookies and some has been with a shaky line and a broken thumb and they were still only a game away from the tournament.Barry was fine.Look at missed tackles we led six of the final ten weeks of all defenses. The HC has the most wins in the history of this game his first three seasons man. Some years are just like that with injuries etc.My fellow Packer fans get to use to winning that they forget some seasons just be like that.I’ve seen much more good then not.Remember the year prior to LaFleur getting there? We won 6 games lol.His record is 47-19 Best ever in a coaches first three seasons.Ill take them chances
The Packers continue to mystify in how they draft the first round. Good luck, Jordan Love. He's now gonna know what it's like to have to deal with what Rodgers dealt with. Not sure he's good enough to withstand it, time will tell, I guess.
Someone else mentioned Detroit, who has a couple of picks before Dallas. That's a possibility. The Lions, Cowboys or Bengals are all strong possibilities for him.
If he's up when Dallas selects he's a tough one to pass on !!!! I'd love seeing Dallas take him in round 1 and then Devon alcone of Texas AM at RB in round 2 , then round 3 take the best available DT and in round 4 find a decent OLine piece
Chase,Higgins,Boyd and Dalton Kincaid with Burrow at the Helm. Now that's going to be dangerous our time is coming. I've been a fan for 40 years many many 2-14 seasons. Let's go WHO DEY
@@JefferyT1991 This runt is going to be a 1000+ yard receiver in the NFL. The game is different now. Wide open and much less physical. He'll fair well, almost surely.
I'm a Packers fan also and was drooling over Washington at the combine yesterday!! Then I watched his game tape and OMG he plays football like Herman Munster would!! Stiff, ducking his head after catch getting ready to be tackled and no twitch at all!! Good hands though, a Marcedes Lewis through and through!! I also thought Kuntz was impressive and his game tape was a tad better than what I saw from Washington, more athletic! Then I watched Kincaid, and WOW, he actually plays like a 2023 type TE!! I love this guy way better than the other 2 and the rest just look average!!
@@vegasj305 Washington is likely a 2nd to 3rd rounder. Going to be a fine asset for the running game, but just an occasional check down receiver, most likely.
@@mikemartin8461 Musgrove from the Beavers is nice too.. a lot of good TE prospects, we need 1 this year. Draft WR Smith-Njgba 1st round, TE 2nd round, and UCLA RB Charbonnet 3rd round. Speed and Power to go with Mike, Keenen and Ek.
@@alexandercarrillo6704 maybe pass on the rb in til a later rounds remember we need run stop help plus with still have Josh Kelly and Isaiah Spiller we drafted last year
@@alexandercarrillo6704 we need more of a balanced offense or Justin not going to make it to long we also need o-line help damn how I wish we drafted Isaiah Likley and Cameron Thomas last year could have had the tight end to grow with Herbert and a solid pass rush that could have learn from Mack and Joey Bosa
Jags apparently didn't think so. But, truthfully, they did need to address the OL and they got a good talent, plus were able to pick up some later picks in the process of hopping back a couple of spots, which is big for them, because they lack depth and also need to stock up special teams help.
Not a fan of tight ends in the first round, but if packers traded back a little in the 1st and got Kincaid I wouldn’t be too mad. He has potential, I think it’s risky for sure.
After the combine I was all excited about Darnell Washington, then I watched his game tape and went OH HELL NO!! Same with Kuntz, but he looked a little better. Then I watched this vid and WOW, you see NFL talent!! The other 2 look like they could play Herman Munster better than TE in the NFL!! Although Washington has great hands and plays so much like Marcedes Lewis, I think it's 2023 and we want a more current version of wide-open TE like Kincaid!! Oh, I'm a Packers fan also after growing up in WI!!
How was Michael Mayer projected to be better than this guy, ive been hearing this guys name and finally decided to look at the tape and hes absolutely nuts and u still have Darnell Washington and Michael Mayer who are also insane at TE lol this TE class is crazy
This dude would be money in the Dallas offense, especially with all the freakin weapons we already have damn😊no wonder skip Bayless wants us to draft this guy hell yea 😮
Skip was actually accurate comparing him to Kelce… doesnt quite have kelce’s quickness and command of routes… but he’s definitely faster and can high point the ball better than a young Kelce.
He's probably a better route runner than Kelce was in college. Doesn't mean he's automatically going to become the next Kelce of course, not quite as big and physical, but I'm not sure if I've seen a more polished receiver from the TE position entering the league.
Hopefully Bengals pick him up tight end class is really nice this yr Washington Musgrave Kincaid and 2 or 3 others hopefully second rd in case Bengals can't keep hurst
@@sheffrudytke1086 Not accurate, Dalton lead every stat but TDS. He did not even play the entire season because Brant was the starter at the beginning of the year. Then he was banged up at the end of the season and did not even play in the bowl game. Kincaid is the best TE.
Kincaid gotta be a Bear next year; pair him with Kmet. Wow , that’s a dynamic TE duo for Fields to utilize. I also like Brant Kuither but he’s returning to Utah and may be more of a WR then a TE.
Fields is 🗑️, no body wants to go where they don't get the ball thrown to them because the QB sucks and only runs! Chicago is Baltimore with nowhere close to the talent.
@@FriendsorFame why would I watch a shitty bears game and I watched enough to know fields is trash! Maybe he will be better next year but this year.... 🗑️
Watching the combine I liked D. Washington and Kuntz, but then after watching game tape I agree Kincaid plays more like an NFL player!! The other 2 I liked from the combine look like Herman Munster playing TE....not an NFL TE!!
He actually got hurt at the end of the first usc game. All the clips are from a lingering injury he suffered in that game. Played through the pain and a fracture.
