I love Dan Vasc!! He is a rockstar!!❤ Now with that said, I personally do not care for this song at all, the music and the arrangement. And I say that as a Christian. But Dan is amazing, so talented and did a great job on this performance! (I wonder if Jesus ever found a whale bone... 🤔) Good video, Dane! 😊

I absofrigginlutey adore this performance by Dan!! You are soooo right, this performance deserves far more recognition and engagement than it has,,, maybe with so many people finding Dan in recent months, that may happen...we can but hope, and keep pushing for it 🤞 He is every bit as good as, if not better than, any of those who have performed on the musical theatre stage. Personally, I think he rivals Ted Neely with that scream... I saw JCS in 1975, when I was 12 or 13 years old, 1st year of high school, on an excursion,,, Trevor White played JC and Jon English was Judas Iscariot, it was at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney Australia. It was the first "proper" production of a musical I'd ever seen and it was mesmerising... and my first "celebrity crush",,, I thought the sun rose and set with Jon English. RIP Jon... 😔 If there was to be a new production mounted, they could look no further than Daniel to play the lead... although I don't think he'd take up the offer, or if he did it would be for a very limited run as he loves and values his independence way too much to be tied to a long term contract... Thinking about those who Dan has worked with previously, Violet Orlandi would be brilliant as Mary Magdalene, and Martin Skar Berger aka Skar Productions would be a fantastic Herod; Erik Gronwall would be amazing as Judas... ahhhh, the possibilities...🤗

Thank you for this great reaction and appreciation for Dan Vasc. Amazing is not a strong enough word for his performance. He also does an incredible performance of The Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. Another of my favorites by him is Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. It is one that show off even more of his insane vocal skills. Thanks again and I look forward to the next reaction to Dan's music.

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve watched Dan perform this and I am still blown away by him performance. It is soooo emotional and is absolutely amazing. I love when he sings that high note “DIE” and falls to his knees and then starts singing again as if he is crying. DAN is the MAN and is DANTASTIC!!! All I can say is WOW!! ❤

Great reaction and thank you for continued support of Dan Vasc! This performance always gets me even though I’ve seen it so many times. I think it sits on its own level amongst his other work as it showcases his acting skills as well as his amazing vocals. Love it!! I second the suggestion of his Bring Me to Life cover of Evanescence…another amazing performance that’s shouldn’t be missed 😊

Dan is amazing on every level! He also does a great performance of "Music of the Night" and "Phantom of the Opera" (which is a duet) from the musical. This man can sing and perform in a way you don't see/experience often. Appreciate your reactions.

Great to see your reaction! This song done the Vasc way is beyond magnificent! The emotional energy that Dan brings is the best I have ever felt and heard! In his ability to bring us to the Broadway Stage even without a full blown production, Dan is the beast of theatrical perfection and performance! He blows this out to the stratosphere and into the celestial universe! My brain melts 🫠 and my knees buckle as he falls to his knees and gives us his defeated spirit down to his soul!!! I use to hate this song (words, arrangement, etc), but then I ran across Dan's performance and got blown away. I totally understand the goosebumps & giggles. Great reaction! Dan's performance in this video is mesmerizing! All of his performances are great, whether it's a cover, his original music with Fearless or with Orion's Reign. Dan sang for Orion's Reign (symphonic metal band) for a while and their cover of Thunderstruck by AC DC is EPIC! They also do some fantastic metal Christmas songs.

This is absolutely enthralling and riveting - you cant just listen to this - you have to watch the performance ! I watched John Legend singing this in the Stage show - no offence to him but Dan absolutely blows him out of the water! Just incredible - if he was in the show it would be a total sellout!

Dan absolutely did a wonderful job of presenting this song, and that he is totally a believer (you can see and hear more about that, if you react to his 2018 version of Roy Khan's song, "For All"), plus you just did a wonderful job of reacting to it. It's not my favorite song in the world, due to the tenets I believe are misrepresented by it. However, I can't fault it in any other way, and Dan's version of it is absolutely tremendous...no question about that. I won't go into theology. If, however, you would like to see the video Christmas Card I presented on Christmas Eve 2022, it is called: "12/24/2022--Why Did God Send a BABY to Save Us?"
