Across the UK the police utilise the vast network of cameras across the country to help enforce the law. These cameras also pick up people getting involved in some very dangerous driving. Most of the drivers are milliseconds from disaster and the police need to find new ways to prevent more chaos on the roads.

@agisler87
@agisler87 2 года назад
@@andrewjones-productions Yes those people without insurance and unpaid parking tickets are such a menace to society. It will only be a matter of time before those cameras are used with facial recognition. Meeting your girlfriend while you're wife is away? The government will know. How many innocent people will have their rights invaded because they happened to be driving a friend's car? It's easy to say I'm not a criminal and have nothing to worry about until the system is after you. Let's not forget the likely potential of abuse by the people running these systems. If you think this is acceptable then you have too much trust in the state.
@andrewjones-productions
@andrewjones-productions 2 года назад
@@agisler87 Grow up! A vehicle without insurance is a very real menace! If you don't understand that, then you are an idiot. As for "how many people will have their rights invaded because they happened to be driving a friend's car"...two things. One, if they are unknowingly keeping bad company, then the police will do them a favour and if they do know they keep bad company, then not only did they make a bad decision in borrowing the car but are also likely of the same ilk. That bring me onto the second point. If they are breaking the law and I'm going to shout it - THEY HAVE NO RIGHTS!

@@andrewjones-productions Lack of auto insurance isn't menacing. I personally don't think it should even be mandatory. Example the state of new Hampshire doesn't require auto insurance. Oh now you're automatically guilty because of the company you keep? And what about the guy in the video who was regularly being stopped because the previous car owner was a criminal? I suppose his rights don't matter. Go read Orwell again. You clearly missed some schooling.

Judging by how that "boyfriend" was acting at the end, I probably would have ran into oncoming traffic to avoid him as well. "Guy seems to be on drugs..." "Actually he wasn't." "Car belongs to drug runners." "Car is driven by woman, they search car top to bottom, can't find any drugs, and cops settle for harassing her for having a messy car." "Asian male followed, stopped, and accused of road rage incident with a gun, which he denies has anything to do with him. No gun found. His story is confirmed; he's innocent, but the cops on the show continue to talk blithely about gathering "intelligence" on "criminals," treating all of them as guilty until proven innocent, and then STILL guilty after it turns out they harassed the wrong guy. ... I'm seeing a pattern here, but it's not giving me much confidence. Also? I'm a little shocked that they confiscate people's property and destroy it so casually. Not only does it seem rather extreme- what if their spouse needs the car for work and is innocent of any crime? -but it's a terrible waste of resources that can be recycled and shouldn't be tossed in a landfill.

I do believe that the cop that searched the white Audi needs to shut his mouth and apologize to the young lady for the inconvenience and for falsely accusing her of something she clearly wasn't doing! Now I'm not to sure about the citizens rights there but in America the cops would have been guilty of violating her rights and illegal search and false imprisonment!
@Timlin22
@Timlin22 2 года назад
The cop wouldn't be charged in America or the U.K.. Police have the right to search a vehicle if they believe there might be illegal substances in the vehicle, and we also don't know if she consented to the search or not (which if she did means definitely no illegal searching). Not to mention, she was never falsely imprisoned, as she wasn't taken to jail.
