You're 100% right. It's a heavy set but not ridiculously overweight, has a nice set of stats for resistances and defenses, and the aesthetic overall is really awesome to look at.

worst thing of all is that those masks couldn't be applied in game due to copyright issue with Naruto (WTF??)

I don't have, but some guys said that in wiki, the company did mention about the copy right issues with creator of Naruto, so I can't be 100% sure.

van lao its mainly because the design is close to the anbu masks. Its also very close to the mask worn by the character Haku. I can understand why they needed to change it.

demonheart547 funny thing is, I find the original mask looks more similar to 201bk mask in "Darker than black", and they didn't even said anything. While anbu mask on the other hand, doesn't look even close to similar.

Ahhh Yes, I've been wanting that for ages. I'd LOVE to see the chosen undead fight all 50 Charred Loyce Knights with some companions, or fighting Sinh, or so many others. Hopefully they do make a movie series, and hopefully it wouldn't be messed up as some movies do that.

Honestly that would be hype but the controls would have to be revamped. the bluepoint remake was great but they only made it prettier and left a lot of the glaring issues with the game play itself

Demon's souls 2022 is accurate 1:1 remake, while this game desperately needs a full fledged remake, with totally revamped design, drastic changes in controls, level design, enemies etc.

+Al Capwn Those masked figurines in the trailer are supposed to be the manikins from earthen peak. Due to copyright issues (with Naruto if i'm not mistaken) they had to change the manikins to the headless version in the final game. There's also a mod somewhere that gives the manikin mask its old look from the trailer.

+Al Capwn They were the mannequin dudes in the poison windmill place. The studio that makes Naruto threatened a lawsuit against them because they said the mask was too similar to the mask of the anbu black ops in the show. So they just removed their heads.

I prefer the atmosphere that it has now.

Bloodborne is the same as Dark Souls but in a more goth style.

I just watched this trailer after beat the game and i feel like that this trailer has a lot more deeper and atmosphere than the entire game.

i loved the atmosphere of the first game. especially the starting area after the 1st boss. the ambiance music made the world feel...sad.

i feel you about the mask, we were betrayed..

I would love if Miyazaki gave us not just a remake of just one of the games, but a trilogy remake. Imagine for the 10 year anniversary of Dark Souls 3, they release the "Dark Souls: Thrice Burnt" remake trilogy on the Xbox Series X, PS5, PC, and whatever Nintendo is gonna release to replace the Switch in a few years.

They did, it's called Dark Souls 2. If you were expecting the game's graphics to be like this pre-rended CGI, then you'll have to wait 10 or 20 years for the next generation of gaming.

R. Meitzen pretty much none of the things in the trailer (areas, encounters, etc) happened in-game. If it did, it would have been radical!

Are you blind or something? Because Dragon Aerie, Iron Keep and No-man's Wharf are pretty much there. The snowy place where the Bearer of the Curse fights the dragon will take place in the Crown of the Ivory King. The Iron Fortress and the sewer area are going to be in the Crown of the Old Iron King, where we will probably find Mytha and her "beauty stock" and the Iron King in his former glory.

R. Meitzen The areas vaguely were, but they didn't look like that. And I don't mean visually, because it is a CG trailer, but design-wise. There was never a lava field full of manikins (disregarding the mask thing), outside of a cool ass iron keep-looking castle. It's like, they had ideas for things at the time the trailer was being made, and they made them look cool in the trailer, but the ideas came out completely different in-game. Also, there was no cool sewer with big opening door or big dragon bones in a catacombs. It's like, it's all there, but it got changed around a ton in between the trailer and the game. I'll concede that snow-Kalameet might be in a future DLC.

+Caleb Lebrun yeah! i was always thinking about that! the movie would need to be creepy, nothing R worthy or gory, just a really high end PG-13, the main character would have to be almost silent, and have the world around him tell the story, narration would be great, and LOTS of dungeons! (Some majula theme in there would be great) And the visuals would have to be amazing, lots of open landscapes with darkness rising, and interesting places

Some buddies of mine are trying to make a movie or series out of this. Might take a while but it's gonna be sick.

Look at the achievement percentage for game completion. 21% of people completed the game. 1 in 5 people commenting on this game haven’t done it so ....

People actually loved DkS2 in its early days, but then they learned that DkS2 was a massively inferior version of a different Dark Souls 2 and the Soul Memory system created massive amounts of online play problems. The dev diaries revealed that this trailer was originally going to be surprisingly accurate but after 2 years of development (the trailer's areas are in the game's files, but without meshes), the whole thing got scrapped from a change of director who then had the team cobble together current DkS2's game from pre-existing assets which is why a lot of things seem to janky. If you search videos of dataminers who extracted the original, scrapped levels, you'll be amazed at how big, intricate, and visually impressive they were (even without meshes, they're fascinating). People are currently pissed that there was something much greater which got shortchanged drastically in many areas. Though what's ironic is that the prototype DkS2's story was actually way worse, which is one of the main reasons for the big scrapping.

@@joshuakim5240 The story for both the updated vanilla game and Scholar of the First Sin edition were way better than the original, agreed. I still enjoy this game a lot, my favorite of the trilogy. But I wouldn't say no to a Remake that brought in some of the scrapped enemies and levels!
