Build darktide.games... BTW I just wanted some gameplay to showcase. the build in action at the highest level. i know its not clean it was done in one take pls no bully :(
In regards to Bulwarks getting staggered from being friendly fired. Its probably one of the worst things in the game, that small staggers can overwrite big staggers. Like if a Bulwark, or more commonly, a rager is completely prone, and you hit him, and he 1-frame rises to his feet.
actual build starts at 3:40 give me any kind of feed back about the first bit with the gameplay. im trying to keep it under like 3 to 5 minutes fight atleast one horde one boss and a special wave. but i dont know how long or how far i should get before ending it this is all super on the spot.
It'd probably be better for the flow of the video, and to reference the build if they wanted to copy it to try, to open with the build, and then do gameplay after everything is explained, so they can see the explained things in action.
Great videos. Good job mate. One thing that is bothering me its that all meta Zealot/Psyker/Vet builds, seems to revolve around: use Columnus V, use high finesse melee weapon, crit evertime, turn yourself into human meat grinder. After that all 3 classes play quite similar. Sorry for my bad English - not a native speaker.
I think this is an issue with the present meta, unfortunately. Build videos tend to prioritize efficiency, and this is just the meta at the moment. I imagine things will change in time, but no time soon from what I can tell. I wish I saw more of my favorite weapons in these videos, but it seems the Columnus V is just best in slot until they change certain abilities.
He made a video on why the Columnus is so overpowered. It just does insane damage, has insane accuracy, good-ish mobility. Then the dueling sword is great at getting weak spot hits which proc a LOT of nodes. It's just overtuned, not any of the community's fault.
It's mostly due to how consistent DPS (Damage Per Second) is the meta, every little bit of damage adds up. Another funny thing I noticed in Warhammer 40,000 games (Dawn Of War for example) had what I call "troll weapons" (where like a Sniper Rifle showed on stats zero damage yet it penetrated and instafragged targets exploding them and caused collateral damage, and the autocannon that called in an airstrike lol) so in WH40K video games they seemed to find a way to make more mundane weapons become insane with the right stats, skills or traits. Gun Psyker Knife Zealot Meta Lasgun Vet Totally unexpectedly meta troll power
Love your content, personally I prefer the format with Gameplay first then build so that you get an idea of what the core gameplay loop is, with a simple timestamp for the build for those that just wanna go for that. Overall I think the structure of your videos have been really good and well thought out, but the commentary is the most important part from you. Knowing the why one makes the decisions from the perspective of play is important. Notably, when you talk about "And because we're playing psyker it's nice to have X focus to hit the breakpoint so we can take 2 hits" that has been very valuable information I haven't gotten from other build guides. Furthermore explaining, again, from play perspective why something is or isn't good, as opposed to "This good because 100% uptime" Whereas in your psyker video you talk about how "Over the course of a match you're getting X amount of additional casts of an ability". All in all I think that aspect of the commentary is what is most vital and makes your build videos more useful than others, then the gamer rage makes them more entertaining than others. Again, format, I think the formula that you did in this one was very good, and if it lowers editing time, then it's significantly better to do it this way, because the people that complain about having to go to a timestamp for the build were gonna find something to complain about regardless.
I DO like Columnus and I DO like gun psyker, but they need to do something about other weapons if the Columnus winds up being one of the most used weapons in 3 out of 4 classes. And the 4th one doesn't use it because they can't. The dodge + slide trick to get into range is rather neat!
Okay, Bro no lie I was fishing for a payout build I liked and trying all kinds of different builds and nothing was clicking and then I tried THIS build. It’s an absolute MONSTER! You definitely gotta know what you doing or you’ll get clapped but you can melt everything in this game with this. I’m a newer player and I had no problem running with this build. It gives tons of toughness, speed and damage when it’s fully built. 10/10 pew pew
how do you feel about deimos force sword? you can get riposte for the crit and the deflector for blocking ranged. I tried using this psyker build and I just suck at it cause i don't have an answer to range other than try to outshoot them. I went down one time and my allies left me calling me a noob bullet psyker lol. I think I'm just bad.
Hey Tanner, need you to hop on Darktide so I can hear your take on the 1.0.22 Disrupt Destiny and sub-talent changes. Seems there's some contention on whether it's an overall buff or nerf. Great videos, man!
Curious as to why you chose the +30 Toughness Nodes. Instead of grabbing another passive, like the 2 soul blaze ones. Soul blaze not worth it? Or not grabbing some blitz modifiers.
On my maccabian Mk 4 i have shred 4 and uncanny strike 4 which i use specifically on maulers and crushers. It also has a special attack tech where right after a power attack, you tap special attack and hit twice, increasing damage stack from the blessings, essentially letting you get in 2 hits in the span of one. Is it just better to have the precog and rampage blessing? I feel like you have a better grasp of this, let me know if you can test. Dont know if the rending from uncanny strike is worth it
I should clarify the special attack does very low damage, but the benefit of using it right after power attack is the additional stacks from the bonus crit chance from shred and rending from uncanny strike. I wonder if scryers gaze makes the crit chance from shred redundant
@@TannerLindberg how about the modifiers. I assume damage and finesse at max are a must - how about cleave damage or penetration? And is mobility basically the dump stat?
Good vid. Like I mentioned in another build, you make good vids because you don't just tell, you SHOW and tell. Also, may I request any zealot build? I noticed I had no idea how to build zealot (from a meta perspective) and I'm kinda lost on what to skip and take, despite your video.
The argument against gun psyker never made sense to me cuz if u dont have a psyker the other character is using ammo anyway so why would it matter wether its an ogryn or a zealot? I dont get the whole well if u have a gun psyker they eat up ammo, like as opposed to what? 2 zealots and 2 ogryns or 1 ogryn 3 vets lol
I did a few runs with your build and I like it but I think I prefer the brain burst auto version a bit more. Purely for personal preference. That said I got great damage and clutched for 9 minutes in aulric damnation before the director bulwark spammed me. It seems like the biggest counter is the bulwark
"Weakspot damage" and "Critical damage" boosts don't work the way I think you think they do. So say a base hit is 100, and a weakspot hit is 200, then 10% weakspot damage increases the total to 210, ie 10% of the difference between base and weakspot, not 10% of total damage when hitting weakspot.
@@TannerLindberg I think your example was 40 base, 80 weakspot, then when trying to work out a 40% weakspot bonus to that you ended up about 120 rather than the correct 96. Which suggested you'd applied the 40% bonus to the total weakspot dmg and not just the extra weakspot damage.
Weakspot/crit damage is an additional damage bonus, not a multiplier like what other games do, same thing in Vermintide it's additional damage. Which is why increasing either gives you every little benefit in either game. Not even Shade in Verm it's worth imo
If i recall correctly, damage, weakspot damage, and critical damage are addictive effects and not multiplication effects. The damage formula is something like this, scaled by hit location and armor type. (Damage*damage_multiplier) + (weakspot_damage* weakspot_damage_multiplier) + (critical damage*critical_damage_multiplier) = damage
This is an older video that breaks down the damage formula in detail ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9QlBkFN9RRw.htmlsi=dy_7pNBA_vhxi9my
a lovely build ive been using for a while. nice breakdown. i knew it was silly but this helped me understand why and how sily. cheers. EDIT Oh boy. I went back to it after this vid, built exactly like yours and found two interesting things. First is the reload speed sucks arse. The biggest difference i could make was putting a perk on that increase reload speed so my "up" time is longer. The second thign was the amount of damage you do in the psykanium is noticebly higher over time than in Damnation games. In some instances shots on target on weak spots were simply whiffing and doing no damage. If i timed it the difference would seem small but when theres 6-12 crushers coming it makes a huge difference! But yeah great build i'd recommend with faster reload cos stock reload is too slow for me.
4:20, aber nein doch , Sah. I do care about anyone Dropping into Atoma and purging in his name. hows the "expand your comfort zone" plan coming along? also: short overview, plug a clip of what you are showing from a real match, then back to build vor the next keystone. rinse repeat. ive never seen that format, but that feels like the best.
I've played to many games with cooldown for me to not immediately pick cooldown. Cooldown is always busted. Doesn't matter game or genre. Unless cooldowns don't exist. The probably reload speed.
yeah in everysingel game almost ever CDR has never not drifted to the top of the meta being the most defining thing everyone defaults to. ive genuinely never seen any comp scene in any game ever where CDR wasnt an insta lock if you can take it.
It isn't an immediate pick in Vermintide, only can pick cooldown if your weapon doesn't have Swift Slaying, like if using Opportunist on a Shield on Ironbreaker. Problem is perks in Verm have higher values than in Darktide, and you can only pick 2 on each equipment slot, and each slot does not share the same perks. On Trinket, 30% Stamina Regen is a must pick on everyone besides Handmaiden imo. 5% Crit Chance is also a very good for helping trigger Swift Slaying. 10% cooldown of not using Swift Slaying. I use Revive Speed on Handmaiden and Shield using Foot Knight. Only one of my characters use Cooldown Reduction and that's Shield using Ironbreaker. I used to use it on Bounty Hunter but I might change because of the recent "fix" nerf. Because of how Ult generation works in Verm where it's a timer where you can decrease it by hitting enemies (different values for each character), Cooldown isn't always needed, Swift Slaying means more attack Speed, more attack Speed means hitting enemies faster, hitting enemies faster means more Ult Regen.
I find Disrupt Destiny to not be that in a team play scenario, problem is you have to kill the targets, not team mates, and it will take your focus away from actual targets you need to shoot.
Love build but um running the lazpistol because I like moving fast valid it’s worse than the colomnus no questions asked but I’m just having fun not trying to be hyper competitive.
if you didnt use spidey sense you would know that the burster despawed from coming down in the room you were about to enter. the sound and lack of sound was telling enough surly to an experienced player that listens even minimally would be able to detect. yes theres a lot of bugs but that scenario wasnt something worth conflating about the obvious flaws of the sound designs. i think this is why people dont like you. youre just, no.
"The lack of a spawn sound and moving sound is clearly. Enough to tell whats happening" you are such an idiot you dont even realize how much of an idiot you are.
"I think this is why people dont like you you're just no" like wtf does this even mean? You know nothing about me. You think i care about delustional losers who disagree with me because they are dunning Krugering then selves in a video game? I didnt even know i was someone who commonly wasn't liked. This comment bugs me Its so weird in so many levels like dude from my perspective you are an idiot who says stuff like zero sounds ques is any info let alone enough. You're just some guy who doesnt know me and seems like a moron. Trying to tell me why im apparently not liked???
I'm glad you said that Tanner because I thought the same thing "what does that even mean"?? Fuck'em let him make his own channel and content. People like you just fine brother don't let a douche bag get under your skin. You video was good and I'm glad I watched it. I'm jealous on the spidey senses. I'm on console and I don't see the option for that. I jave it on other games but it's nice to have a visual something is sneaking up on yiu when you attention is looking at x & y
