Good video Paul. It was like watching one of mine! Even with a bit of rain, some places do seem to have a lot of run-off. The poptarts are not a bad choice. Subbed.
nice vid Paul and great area, i take it your car was fine as i have heard a few horror stories about meldon car park and have been quite reluctant to park there, keep up your great content atb moose
Hello Paul, thought you might like to know our Zpacks triplex tent was put through its paces on Sunday night on the top of Wild Tor. Very windy!! Husband, a sailor, recons it was 30 knots +. It coped fine, very noisy but we were warm and dry. We left one door open and although we had rain and heavy mist we had no condensation problems. Hope this gives you some confidence for your trip to Scotland. Sleeping bags and backpacks were a joy. Jane.
Hi Paul, Very good video mate, I like the duel video aspect (are you using the new GoPro fusion ?) Glad you didn't wake up in a river Lol ATB Mike #StayCornish
Great video. Looked really wet under foot. Did the water bottle holders come with the pack? If not, would you mind mentioning where you got them. Thanks. Keep the videos coming.
Hi Dean, no the bottle holders didn't come with the pack but did come from the same company, here's a link www.zpacks.com/accessories/shoulderpouch.shtml
Hi Paul, nice vid. How is the arc blast performing for you, thinking of getting one for the WHW (again) Quick tip, if you keep one of your mountain house foil packs, wash it out and reuse it with two of those pasta dishes, should be more filling.
Thx Paul. I went with the Osprey 50 atmos AG last time carrying about 14 kg but have got my gear down to 7/8 kg now. Using the MLD Burn frameless at present but thought something that transferred the weight more efficiently would be more useful as an all rounder.. It's only because I'm an old fart and have learnt recently that the lighter the pack the more you enjoy your walking, the heavier your pack the more you enjoy your camping. As you have undoubtably found . Cheers, enjoy your adventures
Yes the Arc Blast transfers the weight just as well as my Osprey Exos 48 but is lighter and almost waterproof so no need for a pack cover. Yes definitely the lighter the pack the more fun the hike.
Looks nice n wet there mate lol. Will be going myself soon in a few weeks time for a night maybe two How many miles would u say it was walk fro the reservoir to lint’s tor and how’s the parking there aswell is it free and safe area
I think its about 3.5 miles from Meldon Reservoir to Lints Tor. There is an honesty box on the side of the public toilets and its £1 pre car. I don't know how safe it is, all I know is that my car was still there in the morning.
really intrigued about the App for the dual camera work, as I am literally a point and shoot one take person, I have not worked out editing yet, I use a Google pixel phone, I do have a iphone 5, but the camera is not as good the google camera, you will have to, do a tutorial video on the dual camera work
john horsfall I'm using my Samsung galaxy S6 edge phone which is a couple of years old now but still takes good video and photos. The app is just the standard camera app that came with the phone.
