Dash Cover Install - Triumph Spitfire | Roundtail Restoration

After some planning, I get the dash cover installed. Oh, and I buffed out the boot lid. Far from perfect, but it sure looks nice with the chrome lettering on it!

Boot lid looks great. Badges really pull it all together. Looking forward to the glass going in. Need to install a windshield in my project and I will learn from you. Thanks. Happy Holidays.

Yeah, the windscreen install makes me a bit nervous, but hopefully it will go smooth. I do have another piece of glass from the black car, so there's that. Happy holidays to you as well. Thanks!

Brave man, waving that window frame over that fresh paint! Good call on installing the glass with the frame on the car. It doesn't take a lot of pressure to install the glass, but the extra support should help.

You're really comming along Chris. That dash pad, where did you find that. I have only been able to find either a hard plastic or some leather that still need a original dash pad to glue it on. Will you let me in on the secret? BTW A (late) merry christmas and a happy and safe new year to you and the family.

Of course! I found it domestically, at The Roadster Factory. SpitBits also sells it. I'm not sure about Moss Motors. Rimmer's does not sell it, as far as I could tell, as they only have the hard plastic one that you mentioned earlier. Not perfect, as you could see, but not too bad, either. It cost me about $275 USD, on sale, from The Roadster Factory (trf.zeni.net/spitfireGB/133.php).

@@roundtailrestoration Thanks Chris. I do have a original dash but it's cracked several places. The original dash have a metal bar inside the foam moulding and some small fasteners. Dos your dash have the that?
