I like to think me and my daughter have this close connection. I was there when she was born, I was there when she smiled/laughed for the first time, I was there when she started walking. We've been best friends ever since she was born. But as her mother and I got separated and she went into some fundamentalist church we've been away a little. I try to be close but everyday life kind of pushes me away. Now she is transitioning from a child to a teenager and I'm very afraid she will become distant. Wtching this video gave me so much hope that a tennage girl might still love her father, but I wonder if I have been good enough as a father to earn my daughter's love. Great video, made me cut onions late at night.

I mean, Deaf people can enjoy hip hop and rap and pop ,too. I don’t know how you can draw a connection between a beautiful moment between a Deaf father and his loving daughter and the music that just so happens to be popular today. Just because people like those things, doesn’t mean they won’t appreciate anything else.
