You pay taxes on everything. You don't wipe your ass without wiping your tax pennies away with it to somebody. The question is where does it go? Does it go to help me pay for a dr? Or does it go to some CEO who lives breathes and shits a level of luxury 24 a day that we will never experience. Can people put political pride aside long enough to agree the both the left and the right are being hosed right now by a con man.

Poor people do pay taxes--it's only federal income tax that some poor people are exempt from paying; there are still other taxes to pay. More to the point, middle-class people do pay federal income tax as well, and their tiny cuts are only for a few years, after which they become tax hikes, whereas tax cuts for the wealthy are permanent. Not only that, but that brief period of tiny tax cuts isn't helpful because it's outweighed by premiums skyrocketing even further, and Social Security and Medicare being gutted. It's like someone gives you $2 while picking $20 from your pocket, then steals back that $2 soon afterward.

There is much truth in jest. Dave ALWAYS drops societal observations that are gems but also utterly hilarious. His comedic timing is stuff of legend. Arguably the greatest comedian of this, or any, era. Maybe not even arguably. Hard to top Carlin, Pryor, Murphy, CK, and Rock (added brilliance from Bill Burr, Maniscalco, Seinfeld and others) but Dave is there gunning for the crown, with relatable and accessible material that spans a multitude of audiences.

Listen carefully to what he is saying. Try to listen and mentally block out the laughter from the audience and pay close attention. If there was no laughter, would you still be laughing or would you be shocked at what he is saying? It is actually quite serious because in many ways, he is actually being quite serious on stage. It just so happen that people are laughing because many of them and us know it's 100% true.

It just sounded like a school teacher lecturing facts about the world. Very little funny except for the last line "he's fighting for me" And even then no more than a chuckle.

Ughh yea no shit. This may be revelatory to you, but it's pretty obvious. Like satirists of the past 700 years, we're laughing at what is true, what is day-to-day too painful to accept, we laugh for euphoric release. We all know he's telling jokes -- making us laugh, but it's because his comedy is truth, that it hits so close to home. Unless you're a Trump supporter and then it would make you feel stupid or just defensive.

Manas Sarkar your stupid. There are many "enequalities" in this wrld. Some have to deal with financial aswell as racial and/or sex. 90%of the wealthiest ppl are white men because of racism and sexism....

What I meant was the biggest inequality is between the rich and the poor. There are of course other types of inequalities that are very real.
