I've watched Chappelle for years and I think his biggest weapon or tactic in his style of comedy is his complete 180's. He'll lead you down this path with his story and then all of a sudden hit the e-brake and throw the wheel hard to the other side. Him getting boo'd and telling us, "Good people of Detroit, hear me.......you will never get your fuckin' money back" is a perfect example.

I was there It was really expensive i remember but people paid and we felt honored in the same he was starting his come back in Detroit. Strict strict security. And on some back story we just hosted Charlie Sheen as his historical breakdown tour kicked off in detroit. And as a life long fan he was a diff person. Just chained smoked and asked the audience questions and made no attempt to form a joke or be funnym ok so its a serious night but everyones high looking for laughs then lady yelled and started it. So glad i snuck in both nights.
