What i find interesting about David Suchet in this movie is that, even though he uses a French accent (as in Poirot), he differentiates his mannerisms and body language like a Frenchman, in comparison to portraying Hercule Poirot, who is Belgian. Because he is a method actor, he knows how to prepare a character and try to portray him as best as he can, without being stereotypical about it (whether he’s a French arms dealer, an Arab, or a Belgian with little grey cells). He is truly an amazing actor.
I forgot he was in this. This is a bit of a stretch but, in the original version of The In Laws, Michael Douglas's character was played by Peter Falk, Columbo!
