I work in a dental lab. The crown material they are milling is called Lithium Discillicate, or E.max as it's known in the industry. They're the most premiere form of restoration. This guy is so good at what he does. If only a fraction of the doctors I work with were this good, my job would be SO easy.
@@afro_samurai8713 I think I'm okay to shade a doctor that has called me because he severed the main nerve of the jaw because he used the wrong drill kit. My job is to create the product. Not even remotely as high stakes.
I really like these kind of day in a life videos. But you should have asked more questions. Like what influence has social media on his business? Where does he go for his teeth? Et cetera
this doctor seems to be down to earth and very transparent to his patients, am very impressed. If I have money I will definitely go to his clinic and have my missing teeth and mouth restored.
The power of dentist is amazing, they can change and make your whole confidence regrading teeth . We need more amazing people PS. look after your teeth
Dr Bae seems very friendly but his office is run like a factory and their isn’t enough personalized attention with each patients. He does a ton of different specialized procedures which require attention to detail at a fast pace. Like in the beginning of the video after he prepped the girls veneers and temporizes them he walks out to see another patient. Temporaries are often a feedback stage where you let the patient go home and try out the size shape and esthetics. Her veneers were made the same day without her giving this important feedback. It seems she simply waiting for the final restorations to be milled without any opinion while Dr Bae attended to several other patients. In the US half a day would be spend alone on one veneer patient.
I actually had my teeth done by Dr. Bae this last summer! It was such a phenomenal experience. He and his staff are so kind and easy to work with! I got veneers done in one day and I'm still so happy with them. Hardly anyone can tell they aren't my real teeth!! It saved me about 8k to have them done in Korea vs the USA. 😅
The doctor said implants cost 3k-4k in the USA. He's only off by 6K. lol.... I just finished mine and paid about 10k from beginning to end. To think that the same quality procedure is $1k in Korea is nuts. Pisses me off how much of my income had to go to this treatment.
I’m a Korean American dental student in the US I promise you the implants placed in Korea aren’t as good overall as the ones placed in the US. I’ve seen a lot of implants placed in Korea that were way deeper than they should be
Looks like these days, many foreigners in Seoul are coming to see this dental clinic. I'm very proud the dentist is working on his English to communicate with foreigners.
South Korea's technology and service is one of the top in the world. You can get a very accurate full body scan there from top to bottom in a day. They are hard working innovators, they are constantly inspired by other practices and try to always improve on the efficency and production of the outcome. Proud of my people.
The reason why NOT a lot of US clinic have in office lab is because the increase of operational cost. The cost of equipment and labor will likely eat up a lot of their profit, given that insurance companies hardly raise their reimbursement in years. I would imagine the only clinics that have their own lab would be those with a direct reimbursement model(aka patient pay upfront, employer/insurance company reimburse the patient later) or cash payment.
So, the bottom line is that it is cheaper, including travel costs, to get the procedures in South Korea. It does usually cost around $4k per tooth for crowns in the US. Therefore, I can see the savings if major work/multiple crowns had to be performed because it is done in one day.
Quite interesting to see the inside job, especially now when veneers and dental care is becoming so much more popular. I am noticing it a lot in kpop. Though, I am not a huge supporter of veneers and actually think they are kind of dangerous when performed on healthy teeth, it is exciting to see how rapidly the dental world is evolving.
Only thing I would warn people who are interested in traveling for dentistry is think about the follow up. Implant failure will take at 1-2 years to see if there is any bone loss. If I have to fix dental work from a foreign dentist, it’s going to cost you.
Obviously the low price means that not state of the art materials can be used. Also for implants Im sure they use cheaper Osstem implants and not more expensive US or Swiss brands. Impressive though that they have a so large dental lab in house. What brands as a dentist do you use?
This is my dentist. I’m surprised at how the dentists here do procedures so quickly that when I went back to my own country I got agitated at how long I had to lie on the chair 😅
I am curious how this channel decides “Top Doctor” etc for these videos. What is it based off of? Opinion? Reviews? Education? Awards? Does anyone know?
Yesterday my hygienist filled my top teeth down without me knowing I was only booked for a clean I’ve been crying all night and day He had no right to shorten them Then offered a natural plus teeth whitening and dad said just do it My top teeth are thicker than they were before I need him to remove the thickness I don’t know what he placed over it I also now need to look for a good dentist to add back my length and correct shape back into my top teeth since they are short and thick I’m so upset My lip covers all the teeth and can hardly see the top ones now He had No right to do this!!!!
That was awesome. I have to tell you…when he went in his office, I could smell the dentist office!!!! I have bad teeth and I had to go to the dentist on my summer break. BTW…..did that woman at the beginning sit in that chair the whole time?
We need to floss after every meal n gargle too. Most of us do not do that. Plus one should tilt the brush at 45degrees n brush vertically n not horizontally. With dental treatment like implants and root canal n then caps costing what they do ,😳 we will have to start leaving teeth to people in our wills😂!! Leave our molars to our favourite cousin, and our incisors to our best friend!😂🤣😅
@@ILovePlayingZeldaGamesOnSwitch it was a full frontal filling veneer.... If you really want to get technical it was a filling but it was a full frontal veneer coating the entire frontal surface the dentist was very pleased with his work you probably never heard of a filling veneer
You can buy a plane ticket, book a week in hotel in Korea and get an implant by this Korean Dentist and still have left over monies vs getting an implant in the US..I think I'll do just that..................Tri Pham from San Jose, CA USA
With all due respect, what do videos like this have to do with your mission of spreading grassroots awareness about societal topics in Asia? I am genuinely curious 😊
Hearing the sound of your teeth being grinded should make you brush and floss regularly. My dentist friend worked on my teeth and said oral hygiene will save your life
Selling unnecessary treatment. Dont ask what the patient wants. Panoramic x-ray is not to be used as a standard check-up, but normal bitewing. Clearly selling dentist and what makes him the most cash.
@@Handle0108 we would not be , even if you brush your teeth twice daily, most people dont brush effectively enough to remove all plaque from their mouth so bacteria will still remain which can cause caries. Caries is also very genetic dependent, as well as periodontal disease, so even if you were perfect, you ld still have problems there.
This is probably a stupid question to ask is it expensive having your teeth done by this gentleman ? There are benefits for me asking stupid questions it makes others look good .
Your channel name is Asian boss but why are you concentrated on china Japan Korea philliipines and India only we have got 50 countries in Asian we are excited to see interviews from other countries as well...
Asian Boss, I always wish you stopped making videos of "Asian people hate on anything" why have I never seen Black Boss? White Boss? Brown Boss? I named myself "Jaiven Boss" since I watched yours back in 2016. and Yet I don't see it.
@@IzzySalami Nobody said it's pronounced like Bee, I said Bae. That's different. I asked my local Korean grocery store owner and he confirmed it's a family name and that it's not pronounced like Bee.
