Hello Julija, I love your happy energy in regards to this fragrance. I love woodsy notes. Something in the base of Gris Charnel bugs me though, I think it's a clean musk of some sort because I like cardamom, cedar and sandalwood in fragrances. Looking forward to your next dislike video. - Jenn
Hi Jenn. I really do love this one, and I'm so glad it showed! I have said those EXACT words about Gris Charnel: "something in the base bothers me." I think you're BANG ON: the musk in that one might be the culprit. Did that stop me from getting it? NOPE. I bought it and learned to love it. Ryan, however, HATES Gris Charnel. BUT, he LOVES Après. You look stunning! Love this topic. It's realistic and honest. Simply impossible to love every fragrance release. I wish that FRAGRANTICA would correct omissions/ erroneous notes. Too often their information and the house website, conflict. I love FG , but its irritating. Glad you're back!

I can smell all the woods and the juniper and the cardamom, and it just makes sense in this weather with the colours on the trees this time of year. It's true that Fragrantica's notes aren't always the same as what the houses say is in their fragrances. I think fragrance is just so subjective, and companies are (rightfully) protective of their proprietary blends. Somewhere between Fragrantica, the house descriptions what we perceive lies the truth. It's kind of one of the things I love. Thank you for always being here with and for me. I'm always so happy to see you here. ❤️
Your matching the bottle beautiful and edgy never tried this one but cardamon and sandalwood that’s all I need to hear glad you spoke about it I never hear this one! I’m sold! 😂🤑

I really, REALLY love this one. Of course I suggest sniffing it next time you're at a Sephora if possible. I mean, one man's yum is another's yuck. BUT, if you're okay with completely unisex (imho) fragrances, this one is so lovely! You just have to like cedar and sandalwood. If you try it, I'd love to know what you think!
If you love a good cedar and sandalwood and guaic wood fragrance with a touch of spice, this one is a really good one. If you do get to sniff it, please share your thoughts? I'd love to know if I'm way off with this one?
Hi Heidi. This one is very special to me even though I've only had it since September 15th. It really does bring to mind being in a forest in the autumn. If you get to a Sephora and try it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
Hi Christie O! It really is. For me, it was a love at first sniff. That NEVER used to happen, and now it happens a bit more often. But honestly, this one is so readily available to sniff at Sephora that I do hope you can get your sniffer on it. If you do, I'd love to hear what you think. And thanks for always being here. Great description, Julija. I loved hearing how you experience the notes of Après. On me, it’s a dry palo santo almost cedar scent. It opens with a brisk feeling (Juniper?) and a bit of vanilla, with a hit of oak-aged bourbon in the dry down. It feels like a cool, beautiful clearing of snow among tall evergreens and on a crisp, clear day. I’m so glad you have this one! 1. Ellis Brooklyn doesn’t last on me. 2. I love this green bottle too much. 3. Similar to Gris Charnel.. my husband kept telling me I smelled good all day last time I had it on. 4. Ok so I went through the process of ordering it then I saw cedar in the notes… I had to back off and make research. Then I saw people comparing it to Autumn Vibes… oh no! I don’t like this one! I have to cut its sharpness with vanilla… What do I do now? 😅
Yes, there IS cedar. And oud, too. I don't like Autumn Vibes either from what I can remember. I think that if you can get to a Sephora to sniff it you'll either confirm that you love it or confirm that you don't. I'm happy to send you some, Julie. I know the feeling of when too many things to sample gets entirely overwhelming, though! I hope you do go to Sephora to sniff it. And I want to hear if it's a LOVE or a HATE for you, too. :)

Hi em! This one was love at first sniff, and that's still rare for me. It really hits all the spots for a fall fragrance for me. But then again, I really do like oud and cedar. Grey skies, mist and cold with endless rain is also MY favourite. Sigh. What am I doing here? I should be THERE! Having said that, it's SPECTACULAR here right now, and I couldn't be happier. @@ScentSiblingsDotCA ha oh I am so jealous of your Sephoras. We don‘t have sephora in the UK. I think there were a few maybe 10 years ago but then sephora left the UK. I used to order from sephora in the US AND NOW THEY WON‘T EVEN SHIP TO THE UK ANYMORE. Sorry, didn‘t mean to shout but my keyboard thought otherwise. Guess they buggered that up. Trade negiciations FAIL.
