DC Rebirth: The Titans Rebirth #1 

6 months ago I used to be a Marvel fanboy but now I realize D.C. writes better comics.

I'm not gonna lie, I was sceptical at first. But it looks like the inclusion of Dr Manhattan in Rebirth is shaping up to be awesome storytelling.

Can't wait to see all their faces when they find out some luminescent naked blue guy is responsible for all this... ~_~

When I was a kid, I liked the original Teen Titans when I would bump into one of their old back issues. But I LOVED the Wolfman/Perez incarnation! It had such a profound impact on DC in the 80's. Kind of getting DC up to snuff with Marvel. Before that, DC just seemed like some old 60's holdovers that wouldn't quite go away. But the New Teen Titans showed that DC could be just as relevant at Marvel. Almost everything, including the Titans, fell by the wayside in the 90's. But it was always fun to see the different incarnations of young heroes teaming up again to be Titans. Hopefully, this will be the gateway to bridge some of that 80's magic with the new Millennium. DC is doing great things and I expect to see more. I just hope if there is a return to some status quo after the Watchmen thing, that it's not just pure New 52. I think the Rebirth world is just what the doctor ordered. It's the best of a lot of things. I think it's what DC was trying to find when they did New 52 in the first place. Things just felt....Off....After Final Crisis. Almost like the middle issues of the original Crisis...A bunch of universes not really blending. I think Rebirth could give us the best of all possible worlds. Now, if they could just get Vertigo back on track with it's heavy hitters and realize that even though it's cool to have Constantine and Swamp Thing in their regular worlds.....Their SERIES work better in a Vertigo format. Ok, getting off the soap box now...

i really hope we get more of this story rob, it is very very nice. i like it. always been a huge fan of the teen titans cartoon, but i think this comic is just as good.

Very nice, once again very helpful in explaining the unexplainable, I was a massive fan of the 80's Titans, more than X-men or Avenger's.. the stories were so good, the writing was amazing and the artwork was perfect in every issue, Perez was SO good, him and Byrne made comic sales soar because their art was unmatched in those days.. those 2 were the Titans in comics.. BUT in the big climax for the New Titans in the 80's there was a LONG build up to the betrayal of Terra the ( then ), newest Titan.. it was a anniversary issue... Perez had done all the art for this HUGE LONG build up, only to have some other artist do the big finale, the artwork was not even close to his , and even though I waited FOREVER to read this issue.. I could barely get through it, I was beyond disappointed.. shortly after that I put the Titans down and never went back.. I know there's many reasons artists get pulled or put on other issues, but seriously, fans WAITED FOREVER to see that issue..and it was, well it's like they didn't give a crap about it..They could of postponed the issue till he could be the artist on that issue, I would of waited months so he could of done that issue.. maybe Perez had something going on, that happens too, family stuff.. I don't know.. but I know when he left the series.. all his fans did too..it was catastrophic for the series.. but that happens in series alot.. I did the same with the Avenger's .. Byrne left and so did I.. but many reasons why these new ones could flop, many reasons it could be a hit.. the new artists are very talented..me, being from the old school.. they're new to me.. but there are SO many now.. hard to keep up..

I'd appreciate a Titans Hunt episode or series. This new Titan series is just about the only part of DC Rebirth to peak my interest.

Rob you should kinda read Titans hunt the ending kinda rush because rebirth. but it explains how the Titans came together and who took some of there memories away, it has to do with there final battles against a original titans villain not quite sure if you want me to spoil it for you or any other Rob corp members ^_^

Rob excellent as always! Donna still remains unexplainable bc DC can't get it together and I don't understand why. I love the character from the Wolfman/Perez era but since then I feel DC boxes themselves in with bc as is she shouldn't exist. If we've seen her coming out of the cauldron in WW#38 I think, what 10 years is she missing? See what I mean? How'd she even meet up with the Titans and fight crime in that hamlet Haddon Corners? titans hunt was not retconned. the reason all the titans were at nightwing's location is presumably because they were meeting as a team, implying titans hunt happened.

Fan theory: Wally did something terrible. Dr Manhattan noticed and offered to help Wally atone by wiping everybody else's memory, but by doing so, it almost forced him out of existence. Maybe it was time travel. Maybe some catastrophe. But it happened during the forgotten time period.

Isn't it just possible that they know of each other because they have all been fighting in some capacity in the new 52. Sure they weren't a team but they all new each other existed, they just forgot Wally. So when he came back and jarred there Memory is also reminded them they did more then know each other existed

Ugh, just looked into a little Teen Titans, they need to break them down into some cohesive teams, (and I think that's what they're working towards). Breaking it down by Kid flashes and robins, need like get a Wally-Dick era, Bart-Tim era, and then a Wally II-Damian era. Wonder how guys like Cyborg, Beast boy and Starfire would get divided along that though.

One reason, I left comics late 80's early 90's.. there were too many things going on, the X-men had too many series..Avenger's started getting more than a few.. who the hells got that much time.or money..and the stories were all over the place, it was like the new writers never bothered to learn the history, they just made up all new stuff.. so it's beyond confusing, I think the best fans can hope for now is to read a series for a time while a group is together, artist, writers..then drop it, because in 5 more issues your favorite character will go from a male to a female and their name will change, costume change, powers change, total new origins.. it goes on n on.. so it's impossible to keep consistent.. but comics are not the same like "back in the day" were it was one office and group of guys worked there.. that all changed..now it's several offices around the country. and work from home sent in.. fans have to adjust.. and just expect all the crazy changes.. I was never a fan of the hero movies, because again.. I waited forever for that day, never thought I'd see it.. but too many liberties were taken, I know.that's Hollywood.. some of those directer's never even heard of the X-men or Avenger's... just saw a money machine.. they are getting better.. Dr. Strange was pretty cool..
