Time to get your HARM on once again! I wanted to shoot a new video around how I like to conduct SEAD/DEAD missions in the Hornet. My old video had a few minor errors in it and I wanted to build upon what I have learned since I made it at the start of 2023.
In today's video, we will be going after an SA-6 site as well as a couple of search radars and a mobile SA-8 launcher.
This is the first of a two part video. My follow-up video will have a new and much improved demonstration of Scratchpad WITH an awesome mod which makes life in VR infinitely easier when it comes to setting waypoints. I think you will love it!

Hey! That’s the kind of thing I like to hear because that’s why I made this. I hope it helps you enjoy your DCS time. I used to be confused with the HARM because I only really used TOO and would launch on whatever locked me up. Heh, HARM after HARM flopping into the ground because the radar was 50 miles away.

Thanks! To be fair, the recording is not from the Aero. RU-vid videos of VR sessions record the VR mirror which will look different from the actual VR display. I use OBS to record the DCS game mirror. I record at 4k and a very high bitrate (I use RU-vid's recommended bit rate and other settings). I don't do any post processing generally. In this video I did use a little bit of stabilization in my video editor (Final Cut Pro) as VR videos tend to be a little shaky. I do think the video is close to what I experience in the headset generally speaking but I am always amazed at how good it looks when I watch it on my 4K TV. I'm glad you are loving the Aero! It's an amazing headset! I'm hoping that more people will buy one now that it's only $990.00 (and Euros). A great price for an amazing headset.

@@StrIIker-TV - Ah okay so that was your process well, it looks awesome and I may check it out again on my Sony A80K tv also. The stabilization is really what struck me, I knew use the Varjo Aero and the recording was sooo smooth and not like other VR videos I have seen on RU-vid. Very Nice ! Have a Weekend Str][ker 👍🏻

The Aero does seem to have some better stabilization in some odd way. The video which I capture has been pretty nice without stabilization and when I do any stabilization in post, I use very little. If I have it set to too much, I get odd artifacts and/or lose a large amount of the image due to zooming in to help stabilize. Most of my previous videos have no stabilization for comparison. Thank you for your kind words. I am fortunate to be able to get this stuff and appreciate it every time I use it. Thankfully stuff like PointCTRL have saved me a lot of money on peripherals.

i am number 735 good luck on your quest for 1k and more subs. 👍7. I have the F18 so this is very useful video, but I am more of an A4 Skyhawk analog guy. Smooth frame rates on the video.

Hey thanks for the compliment and subscription! I have returned the favor and am definitely going to check out your videos. (Maybe you’ll make a convert of me)! I do get spoiled in the modern jets though. I’m finishing up part two (I had to reshoot one cockpit sequence because the audio started to get choppy right at the good stuff.. go figure). OBS does that to me a lot. It’s like it starts to have issue if it has been running too long. It gets choppy for 5 minutes or so and then is fine.

@@StrIIker-TV I also use Nvidia Shadow play to record.... no issues, it uses less resources. If you have an Nvidia GPU give it a try.
